DETROIT are just 4-19 ATs when laying points on the road since 95. They are only 1-9 against the number as a road favorite of three points or less during this span. 8 of those were su losses.
The Lions have won back-to-back games, but the road has often acted as a road block to winning streaks for them. In fact, they are on a 7-18 against the spread slide in road games following two or more consecutive wins and have lost by an average of 6.5 points in this situation. With not one of those a ats covers as a fave.
The Lions are also on a 0-6 against the spread skid in the second half of the season when matched up against a team with a winning record. It has dropped these contests by an average of 11.6 points.
The Vikings don?t throw for a lot of yards because they are a ground-and-pound team with Adrian Peterson. However, their passing efficiency could spell doom for Detroit.
The Vikings have completed 64.1 percent of their passing attempts this season. With this in mind, consider that the Lions are on a 0-6 against the spread slide versus teams that complete 64 percent of their passes or more. The Lions have lost by an average of 10.0 points in these contests.
The Vikings have won 17 of their last 20 home games against the Lions.

Stafford will be under a ton of pressure in this game! Vikes get after it and I know the past couple weeks they struggled but their D front is going to manhandle Lions O. If Vijes get enough positive from Ponder they win. I know it's hard cause Vikes have looked weak but this maybe a rallying game for them

I agree with this, where the hell did he come from when he played San Fran. He made some gray throws and was confident, now that is all gone, I could never play the Vikes cause of him

don't know where it went but it damn sure hasn't been evident of late.
Jeff surely correct about Det. as a fav on the road..
Personally..some games just don't present value..IMHO this is one of them..

VIKES HAVE LOST THE LAST 3 OF 4 because of piss poor d - Vikings are 23-6 as a home dog at home from
1996 with 17 of those straight up wins. Vikings should be -3 to 3.5 - again detroit killed the jags vikings lost to a very good seatle team -before last weeks game vikings were -3.5. 5 point swing at home - nobody can give 1 good reason to take detroit accept ponder - I believe he plays well-they run had cause havoc d-line wise. If ponder plays poorly -Webb will come in. MINNY 27- 20
Oh I'm not knocking the pick, I can't play Viking games anyway, Vijes D has been piss poor but disagree about two losses. If Ponder plays decent they beat Seattle and Wash, JMO.

One good reason the vikes have given up an average of over 30 points the past 4 against teams that are combined 16-19.....vikes can only rush qb on defense that is all...there run and pass d is flat out garbage.....this is the same garbage d as last year...lions will get in the high 20's low 30's
