UNC (-9.5) 1 unit. another game i wish i had the discipline to stay off. but two factors led me to unc...

1) it's shane beamer's first year at SC

2) this is how sam howell announced he was playing in this game....

"Last week, North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell took to Twitter with a GIF of Homer Simpson downing a jar of mayonnaise with the caption, ?Catch y?all in Charlotte,? thereby officially announcing his intent to play in the Duke?s Mayo Bowl against South Carolina on Dec. 30."

Purdue (ML) 2 units to win 3.3
over (64) 6 units. betting purdue because... josh heupel. it's his first year at tennessee. this guy dragged down the UCF program and got rewarded with an SEC job? makes perfect sense. anyway, it's hard to see either team getting many stops in this one. i'm a little concerned about purdue on 3rd down without bell, but tennessee's defense is 103rd in the country, allowing conversions 42.5% of the time on 3rd down.

pittsburgh (ML) 5 units to win 5.5. it's the pat narduzzi bowl!! ok, sure, losing pickett hurts the panthers. but the guy who's replacing him completed 86% of his passes this year! that's WAY better than pickett! ok, ok, 14 out of 16 is a nice start, but nick patti is not exactly a proven commodity. however, he's going up against a defense that allowed more passing yards than ANYONE this year. and by a mile. they gave up 338 per game. the next worse, duke, gave up 312. so pitt should still move the ball. on the other side of the ball, michigan st may struggle to replace walker. especially because pitt's run defense has been solid. they are 5th in the country, allowing 2.74 yards/carry.

az st (ML) 2 units to win 3.6.
under (42) 3 units. 2 completely inept offenses. 2 starting qbs who have combined for 19 TDs and 19 INTs. that's impressive. unless both defenses don't show up, it's hard to see either team moving the ball. and wisky's lack of offense should keep az st in this game to the end. so, holy shit, i'm betting on herm edwards. god help me.
