1. Detroit/San Jose [1st period] - Under 1.5 [-110]
I have a feeling this game will be a "play-off" type game with a lot of close checking. Scotty Bowman and Hasek are gone from Detroit. San Jose has improved it's point total for 7 straight years, winning the division last year. I know they will be up to give a great effort against the Wings. Of concern: Sharks lost 7 of 10 of last season's regular season games. Detroit was 7-2-1 before the play-offs. Det was 2-1-1 against SJ last year, opening the season with an OT 4-3 victory at SJ. [revenge?]
2. Det/SJ Under 5.5 [-130] - see above
3. Vancouver -.5 [+120] at Calgary
Canucks were very strong the 2nd half of the season last year. Vancouver was 3-1 vs. Flames and 2-0 at Calgary LY. Calgary has picked up some help, but it probably won't jell for a month or two...
