Congrats on the nice day Wednesday Padres definitely came through for us in a big way. Since that worked out for us, I figured I'd throw my thoughts in on the Mariners play since I am already on it.
The main reason is to fade Padilla. His last 3 starts have not gone very well(1-2) as he has not lasted through the 6th in any of them. Even in the game he won, he was out after 5.2 IP. The one thing going for him is that he has not been giving up many HR lately(1 in his last 5 starts) but that doesn't bother me here as the M's are not a lineup that relies on the long ball to score. They have been putting up good run totals by stringing hits together. While Baek is 1-2 his last 3 starts as well, he has actually pitched pretty well(1.07 WHIP) so lets hope he gets some run support.
