Haven?t posted in awhile as I was getting killed in mid-december. Took a few weeks off from posting plays to refine some of my analysis and take some longer looks at things. Feel pretty good over the last week, so I?m going to start back up with two picks today. Will update my posted record later, but it was still above .500 and positive in the unit column when I stopped posting a few weeks back.

UConn -2.5 WIN ? 2 units ? got this in earlier in the day when the line was lower. Still think it isn?t a bad play at the current 3.5. UConn is determined to come back and be a force in the conference this year. I think they can get the win and cover this small # on the road against an average Seton Hall club. UConn has shown in the past they can easily win on the road at Seton Hall when possessing much more talented teams, which is exactly what they have this year.

DePaul / Nova Under 155 LOSS ? 4 units ? biggest play of the season so far for me as all of my plays in non-conf range from 1-3 units. I?m a DePaul season ticket holder and know the team pretty well. I?ve hit basically every Over DePaul has had this year, but think tonight will be different. DePaul?s D is terrible, especially on the perimeter, and Nova likes an up-tempo game with their guard heavy line-up. However, I have a strong sense DePaul looks to slow it down tonight. They have been playing a faster pace this year than their last couple of seasons. That has provided an offensive spark, but is killing them on the defensive side as their transition D is bad. I think you will see more concentrated offensive sets from DePaul working it into the post and having a deliberate offensive game plan. Mac Koshwal will get a lot of touches tonight and is a great player even as a freshman for anyone who hasn?t seen him. I also expect DePaul to utilize a big rotation of guards to keep up with Nova?s fire-power.

GL guys.

adding another Big East Play:

Notre Dame / WVU Under 147 WIN - 3 units - I think the scoring will be quite a bit less than what is usual for these two. Both clubs will be bringing out the D in their conference opener.

2-1 for +0.6 units. Very close to a big night but DePaul game goes over in the closing minutes. 33 points in the final 4 minutes  .

Oh well, I'll take it for a positive day and a big upset win for my Blue Demons.
