Good Evening All!
YTD: 31-23-1
Miami Ohio +10, -120 over Illinois. Many of us drowned with Miami on Saturday as a 13-point second half cost them the win, and of us some profit. But, tonight they are back in the more confortable role as heavy underdog. Miami is one of the best underdog programs out there. Currently, they are on a 20-10-1 run as an underdog, including 4-0 this year cashing tickets this year with the points against the likes of Xavier, Miss St, USC and Louisville. Miami has covered 6 in a row as a road dog, and, overall, they're on a 10-2 ATS run. On the opposite end of the spectrum is Illinois, whose 2-6-1 ATS this season, 3-14-1 ATS runs vs non conference foes and 5-14-1 ATS in their last 20 as home favorites.
Last year, these two teams played. Illinois won 51-49, but Miami cashed the ticket as 11.5 dogs. Miami outrebounded Illinois 28-20 in that game and limited the Illini to just 17 made field goals all game.
Miami has held 43 straight foes to less than 70 points. Expect that trend to continue tonight against an inconsistent Illini team. Miami hangs into this game until the very end, and I would be very surprised if Charlie Coles' team is not in position to win the game straight up in the final minutes of the game
