21-10 +44.7* - Coming off a losing Wednesday, but hopefully we'll rebound with some winners from Puerto Rico tomorrow. Washington really doesn't look good defensively and other than Brockman, they aren't a good club. Dumb play on Texas A&M as they didn't show up for the 1st half. Going to play the entire Puerto Rico card after spending the past hour capping these games.

Houston Pick for 4.5* - Cougars should be a NCAA tourney team IMO and have a veteran returning nucleus while VCU appears down a notch.

Marist +8 (-120) for 4* - Don't feel really good about this game as Miami should be improved. However, I'll take the points with a team used to winning in Marist vs. a team used to losing in Miami.

Providence -6 for 4.5* - Really like this play as I expect the Friars to make some noise in the Big East and at least make the NCAA tourney while Temple will once again have problems scoring and be a middle of the pack A-10 team IMO.

Charleston +15 for 4.5* - Really like this play as well. Sure Arkansas is solid, but asking them to win by 16+ points against a solid team will be very tough.

I could wait and see how the lines move tomorrow, but I would rather make my plays based on my handicapping and hope for the best. I feel fairly good about all of them and hoping 3-1 or better tomorrow.

Marist is the only real questionable game for me, Like houston on a neutral court and think providence should win by double digits.

Thanks for the information Box & One... I should probably switch, but going to keep my play so I don't pay the vig. I know you have been hotter than doughnut grease to start the season as well. Miami lost 20 games last year and I see them having a tough time winning by 9+ points early in the season.

It does scare me that every good capper on this board is backing Miami as well. I have read Marist has some nice recruits and they should be okay. I guess I'll find out first hand this morning.

Going to make Houston Pick for 6* - Late line movement shows Houstons becoming a -133 ML favorite at Pinnacle plus I like the revenge angle as Houston was pounded by VCU last year. Let's get this morning started with a win:00hour

Going to play the devil's advocate and stick with Marist... sometimes the fewer people like a team, the better!

Watching the early part of the Houston/VCU game and can't believe how much nicer the arena in Puerto Rico than past years. Good thing they made some upgrades. Also, is there any reason for starting games @ 9:00 a.m. ET? I think it's 10:00 in Puerto Rico, but still too early for any fans to make the game.

Okay, going to listen to the masses and hope Miami blows out Marist. It's too bad I didn't wait, but now I'll probably have to pay for it. King is a solid defender and rebounder and should give Marist problems.

Miami -7 (-120) for 8* - This play won't count as part of my official record. I'm hoping Miami wins by exactly 8 points now.

Make Providence -6 & Charleston +15 each 5* plays. Hopefully sweep these plays and finish the day +6.6*

Brutal loss on Houston although VCU looked like the better defensive team.

Nervous as Temple just dropped to 5! I know Providence is playing their first game, but I like them to win by double digits if they play to their portential.

Thursday Night Games...

Upgrading Charleston +15 to 6* - I believe Arkansas is solid, but this should be a competitive game IMO. Hopefully I can start winning some of these games in Puerto Rico.

Gardner Webb +14.5 for 6* - UConn really hasn't impressed me offensively and I believe they'll have a difficult time extending the margin to a 15+ point win. Hopefully Gardner Webb doesn't crap their pants @ MSG. If they can win @ Kentucky, they should hang with the Huskies.

Memphis -6.5 for 6* - Not sure why the line has dropped 2 full points other than Dorsy might not play. However, I believe Memphis has way too much talent for OU and I feel much better knowing the majority of the touts are backing the Sooners which is causing the line to dip.

Oregon State -6 for 4* - Colorado State just lost to Montana by 36... I know the Beavers aren't world beaters, but they should win this game by double digits.

Eastern Washington -1.5 for 3* - Cal-Riverside is traveling a good distance and should lose this game.

Utah State +3 for 2.5* - Why is Cal Poly favored?

Clemson +4 for 2.5* - Tigers should be tough and going to Starksville is never easy, but Clemson should win SU IMO.

G'Town -14 for 2.5* - Michigan battling some injuries and I'm hoping the Hoyas make a statement vs. a Michigan team adjusting to a new, but solid coach.

Yeah, I haven't spent enough time capping these games... just don't have enough hours in the day. Hopefully I'll have some winners tonight although Charleston looks terrible early.

you are off to a great start, though. I know its tough getting a read on some of these teams. You can only do so much research until you see them in action against decent squads a few times.

I'm still struggling around a .500 record but don't care as many have been small plays so far.
