Their balls will be cool at the Dome today, roof closed and air conditioning on.

Toronto (-1) (-117) 117.00 ----> 100.00

Blue Jays bringing their brooms and looking for an eighth win in 10 games and a move back over the .500 mark for the first time since June 18th. Ricky Romero gets the call against Doug Fister in a battle of hard-luck starters. They each have a 3.18 ERA and a losing record. Romero is 7-9, the Blue Jays having scored a grand total of 13 runs in his nine losses. Fister is 3-11, the Mariners having scored a total of NINE runs in his 11 losses. Sheesh. Of course, the Blue Jays are 13-25 during the day; Seattle is 11-17. The roof will be closed, because it?s going to be extraordinarily hot, so that might help fool the Jays into thinking it?s a night game, and they win 60% of the time at night (36-24).

Pasted for amusement only.
