Love game with a few storylines in tonight's contest thanks to Blount & Bell twisting it up yesterday.
1* Pittsburgh +3.5
Week 3 has generally been a successful week for Mike Tomlin with his teams going 5-2 during this all important week.
Not overly concerned with what's going on with the two running bakcs as Tomlin teams are "usually" very prepared and if need the rest of the team can pick up the slack.
Kelly said on Tuesday he would like to see his team score 100 points and shutout Pittsburgh. Fact is the heart and should of this offense is the running back play of McCoy and Sproils. Here is a newspaper quote from today's paper that I found about them.
Both have been extremely quiet in very limited action through the first two games, which have provided no clues on how Kelly and his staff plan to unleash Sproles in this offense.
Sproles last week had just two touches, both receptions, for 13 total yards. The week before at Chicago, his touches were limited to three carries for 11 yards. He has yet to even attempt a punt return.
McCoy (one carry for no yards in the preseason opener, six carries for 19 yards against the Patriots) revealed this week that he also hurt himself during one of the three joint practices with the Patriots leading up to last Friday's contest.
So it's doubtful we'll see anything out of the ordinary from them, regardless of how much they play.

Here is a quote from Tomlin in one of today's papers.
The Eagles game is meaningful for everyone ? the starters, especially quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, want to gear it up, develop a rhythm, get into a regular-season mode because they'll likely play little if at all against Carolina.
The defense will get a test in the Eagles' hurry-up, fast-paced offense that operates at a higher rpm than any the Steelers will see during the season. And for the bottom 50 or so players on the roster, this is the time jobs are won ? and, more often, lost.
?(We're) getting to the meat of this thing a little bit, and if guys (are) going to make a move, it's kind of now or never,? coach Mike Tomlin said.

Tomlin is 9-4 SU off a win and 20-10 SU the preseason overall. Kelly is still an unproven in August at this time, but this is the first game at Lioncoln and his 100-0 wanting on Tuesday hasn't kept me from back the Steelers here.
