johnny:

i know where youre coming from (as your usc info/opinion was clearly a well-intentioned and cogent opinion). its unreasonable, though, to expect someone to sway from their original play if they feel strongly about it. he had his reasons. it didnt work out. im sure i can pretty safely assume he appreciates the feedback and the fact that people genuinely want to return the favor (since hes pumped out a ton of winners over the years for guys).

on the flip side, i was a little surprised to see him say "usc is still overrated". hard not to be awfully impressed with usc at times this year. not very many weaknesses on that team when they get it going. not really sure if theres a benefit to "fading usc the rest of the year" other than being a little stubborn.

all in all though, i know you guys offered many cogent opinions and thoughts about this game from a usc perspective. still cant expect a guy to change his mind all the sudden. normally in this spot, you just hope a guy can store that help away for LATER USE IN THE SEASON. hopefully he does that and doesnt just blindly fade usc out of stubborness.

personally, i think texas tech is overrated, but they burned my twice in consecutive weeks so no sense in me being stubborn and fading them when theyve got a good thing going. dont ask me how in the hell they covered today, but thank god i didnt fade em, even though they got 51 dropped on em they still cashed. thats impressive

ND moved the ball only in the 1st quarter and scored 14pts. USC defense stopped ND offense the last 3 1/2 quarters with ND scoring ZERO pts. I don't know what your talking about ND moving the ball. ND had two drives the whole game, one of them after a kickoff return to USC 43. lol
