Can't get a break to save my life so far this week. Mets jump all over lefty Bacsik but decide to stop swinging and let the Nats take one that they had to have. Brewers strand 9 baserunners through the first 3 innings, including leaving the bases loaded in the 1st and 2nd, and then the bullpen implodes against a shorthanded Cards lineup; real nice coaching job in that one, forkstick. Jays hang and Padres might take their game, giving me only, maybe, 2 of my 4 key plays; needed at least 3 just to hang on. I've got a few plays already in for Thursday but I'm getting real sick of baseball the way this week is going so I think I'd be a fool to risk too much today.
Brewer-fvcks should certainly win their game; Gallardo will be a hot commodity for years to come it looks like, while Cassel and the Padres pen might actually have a shot to steal this one judging by the BS I'm seeing Wednesday. I'm already into the Brewers, totally believing that they'd win tonight, so I'll let the play stand.
Rockies look real good for tomorrow, too. They look real hot these days and I'd say that the Dodgers look like they're packing things in. Morales v.Loaiza only makes it look better, as the Rox lefty has looked great his past 3 or 4 while Loaiza has looked like dogshit.
Devil Rays is the third that I'm into, already, and, despite the trouncing that they took tonight, I think that they look extra special for tomorrow. Yanks might rest some bats as they've clinched a playoff spot but really have no chance of catching Boston for the AL East. D'Rays got their share of hits tonight but were simply outproduced. Hughes does not look particularly good and he was rocked by the D'Rays in their only meeting. I'd like to go more on (moron) this one, but to pound the D'Rays maybe one does have to be a moron.
Mets need Thursday's game something serious, and have a solid SP mismatch. Big edge at the plate, too. Only question is whether or not these guys are chokers. Looked like total shit against the lowly Nats, especially their (now-)pathetic bullpen. I can't see them losing this game but I can't see straight these days apparently.
The totals I'll have to update with umps. I know Eddings is going somewhere tomorrow (scheduled in Cinci), but I forget where. My total plays will be small as I'm getting my ass kicked and am sick of it. I work so friggin' hard on this shit all season that you'd think I could finish off the final week strong, but it has been a total joke. Absolutely no excuses for losses by the Mets and Brewers tonight. I hope the Mets miss the playoffs. They can kiss my ass.
Will post fades later.
