thursday totals

1-2-1 yesterday, 11-8 overall. getting the nine early saved a push in the nym/pitt game. so far a couple of day totals:

tor/nyy over 9: fighting a brisk wind coming in from left-center field today but combination of trends warrant a play imo. jays 11-4 over this season, yanks 9-4 over. teams 15-6 over last 21 mtgs. walker, wh has never started a game @ yankee stadium, has a 6.23 lifetime era vs yanks, 4.91 day. weaver 6.02 lifetime era vs jays, 5.33 day. ump b. welke not a significant factor.

tb/bos over 7: both teams continue to hit well, and lefties don't usually fare well vs the green monster - kennedy's 8.00 era @ fenway is not atypical. pedro also hasn't hit form yet and boston bp the over player's friend. rays 10-3 over this year, boston 11-3 over. teams 13-3 over lst 16 mtgs. hp ump cederstrom consistently favorable ump for the over.

fla/phi under 8: wind in from left center @ 16 mph and dreckman a solid under ump. both pitchers have good career stats at the vet: millwood 2.04 era, 1.13 whip, .205 baa; pavano 3.44 era, 1.25 whip, .215 baa.
