Drexel-3
Although they failed to get to the free-throw line at all in the first half and shot only 34.6 percent from the floor, Drexel managed to hang tough at Northeastern in a quick-turnaround, three-point loss that had followed a tough, OT loss at NC-Wilmington. This time, they?ll have five days between games, and Bruiser Flint can take heart in their prior job on Northeastern point guard Barea, who they held to nine under his 22-point average. The arms of Northeastern shot-blocker Shawn James (he has 119) are not long enough to swat Drexel?s three-point bombs and Drexel has the rebounding strength to force this opponent to player slower than it prefers.

Michigan-2 best bet

The last time they met was last season, when Michigan was in the middle of a 10-game losing streak and lost 72-46 at Ohio State. This time around, Michigan enters as one of the hottest teams in this great nation of ours, and with injury-absent Lester Abram trying to crack the lineup and move them up further. Ohio State would like to be able to say ?Don?t touch that Dials!,? but Michigan has bigs who can mess with the Buckeyes? best big.

Playing at home has meant everything in the Big Ten this year and I'm not going to buck that trend tonight in Ann Arbor. Yes, Michigan looked putrid in Saturday's 28-point los at Iowa, but the Wolverines will bounce back to cover this small price tonight over visiting Ohio State.

The Buckeyes (1-4 ATS slide as a road dog of three or less) has lost SU their only two real conference road tests this year in losing at Iowa and Indiana (they did win at Penn state and Purdue). Big man Terence Dials will not be able to dominate inside as Michigan has plenty of size between forwards Courtney Sims, Graham Brown and Brent Petway to combat the Buckeye big fella.

This game will come down to whether Ohio State can heat up from the outside. Michigan defended the three-ball poorly Saturday in Iowa City, and I expect it to play with much more purpose in defending the perimeter tonight.

It helps to be at home as Michigan connects on 52 percent of its shots at Crisler Arena while holding opponents to less than 43 percent shooting. Lester Abram won't go again, but Big Blue has a solid upperclass trio in Sims, Daniel Horton (guy makes his free throws!) and Dion Harris. In a very tight conference race, those three will make sure Michigan holds serve at home.

Michigan had been playing solid basketball prior to Saturday and were on runs of 5-0 SU and 5-0-1 ATS before the debacle at Iowa. They've also won and covered three straight at home with wins over Michigan State, Wisconsin and Northwestern.

Meanwhile, Ohio State hasn't won in Ann Arbor since 2002 and lost by 11 last season at Crisler Arena. It's tough to win on the highway folks, and Michigan will bounce back in grand fashion in this home win and cover.

Long Beach State-11 blowout

Tempo figures to be an issue for Cal Poly, against a home team that runs and plays a lot of people. Long Beach State averages more offensive possessions per game than all other Vegas board teams in the nation ? Washington included. Cal Poly can click from three-point range when they can get the game to go their way. But turn the heat up a few notches and they start chucking and missing as they tire quicker and the defense falls apart at the same time

Denver+2.5 or ml
Over its last two games, Denver has suffered its three worst
shooting halves of the year: 13.0% (3-23) second half at ULL,
23.3% percent (7-30) first half at ULL and 26.1% (6-23) first
half at New Orleans. We think we?re catching them on a ?due?
night as they return home, as an underdog, in a building where
they have won 17 straight.

Off a nine-day layoff, WKU comes into a strange building at high
altitude with a three-game edge in the loss column on their nearest
Sun Belt East division pursuer. Denver ? with a legitimate chance
for second in the West, or even first if South Alabama slips up --
has played those previously mentioned two games in that span and
could very well be the ''sharper'' of the two sides despite the
shooting woes from those matchups.

Is Denver confident it can knock off what appears to be the class
of the Sun Belt? A loss by only 5 points at WKU in January ?05,
and a neutral-floor win by 9 in the Conference Tournament last March,
should give you that answer, and 6?6? junior guard DaShawn Walker is
in a good spot to offset his recent 1-for-10 and 1-for-12 shooting
nights at New Orleans and ULL. Toss in another double-double for
Denver?s inside stud Yemi Nicholson

GOOD LUCK Raymond. Looks like your putting Michigan in all your bets. I hope they play better than they did at Iowa. Tough to go against a Big ten team at home.
