WVU @ CU

What a weird line for this game. WVU is clearly not the same team without Rich Rodriguez but they still have the great talent of Pat White and Noel Devine, AND are still ranked #8 in the country! The defense has been atrocious...Villanova outgained them 399 to 354, and Patrick Pinkney and company at ECU torched them for 386 yards.

WVU is 84th in the country in total defense letting up 392.5 yards per game.

WVU is 95th in the country in pass defense at 254.5 yards against per game and 70th in rush defense at 138 yards per game against.

The offense looks nothing like the spread offense Rich Rodriguez had going at WVU. They are 95th in total offense, only gaining 302.5 yards per game. They are a disgusting 106th in pass offense with only 138.5 yards per game through the air.

I have to imagine the bye week helps them a lot and maybe has them ready to come to Boulder and explode on offense?

As far as the Buffs go, its really a stretch to say they have a good defense. They are 92nd in pass yards against per game at 245 yards per game.

Eastern Washington nearly beat Colorado. They passed for 303 yards and were TIED with CU and had the ball and the chance to march down the field and make the game winning score, but instead, threw a interception which was returned for a touchdown with only 1:44 to play in the 4th quarter.

They do have what looks like a stout run D so far ranking 11th at 59 yards per game against, but I am not looking too far into that at all. They played CSU and EWU...who both were down early and forced to throw 35+ times, with EWU slinging 51 attempts! :scared

The new WVU coach likes to pass more than Rich Rod. it seems, and I dont see him not attacking what looks to be one of the weakest secondaries in the country.

I also think both special teams can setup good field position, as I think we will see some good returns.

That brings me to my play.....

Right now, I am leaning towards the over of 56.5:shrug:

playing the over 56.

CU hasnt allowed a 100 yard rusher since '04.

Think the passing game will have some big plays and hopefully hit the over. :director:
