I've posted the jags on the money line the last two weeks, and I don't see any reason not to take another shot.
Jacksonville (ML) 2 units to win 2.8. i'll start with the only positive I see for Houston tonight - they are finally out of Houston. 3 games ago, the Texans' fans were so fed up with their team that they booed loudly enough when the Texans had the ball to force Houston to go to a silent count on a few plays. hard to believe that wouldn't motivate a team, but they finished up their loss to Oakland, then lost 2 more home games. getting out of Houston is probably the best thing that could happen for them. HOWEVER...
suddenly the jags are playing well enough to beat mediocre teams on the road. after Cleveland took the lead back on a 95-yard td pass with a few minutes left, the jags could have folded. but they came right back and won the game. that's part of what I like about this game tonight. but the biggest factor....
back to Houston. obviously this season has been a HUGE disappointment. even that's an understatement. so 4 days ago, they finally have a chance to salvage just a shred of pride, as they played the patriots. the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. arguably Houston played their best game of the season. by far. and still came up just short. are they really going to be ready to play the jags 4 days after that game? sure, they have revenge for a loss 2 weeks ago. but are they going to care THAT much? or did they put everything they had left into the pats game? OH, and their next 2 games are against indy and Denver.
to sum it up, we have a terrible team that's suddenly playing with some confidence against a much more talented team that would probably rather be anywhere other than on a football field tonight.
