YTD 5-0, +6.3 units

1. Portland +6, 4 units

Extremely generous line here. Soft actually. Still no Bibby or Christie. Portland is LOADED this year. More talent overall than any team in the league. It also seems, at least for the time being, they are sharing the ball and playing as a team. They could be very dangerous if they keep that up, which remains a huge question mark.

But it's still early, and they are looking like they could be a world beater early on. I know its just one game, but looking at their talent across the board, and with the addition of McInnis, Daniel and Sabonis ...

Portlan could win this game just as easily as Sacremento could.

WAS pick em, 2 units

I posted this yesterday, but I think the Celts may have screwed up by dealing Kenny Anderson. They don't have a real PG, and the frontcourt is weak. They are living off last year's rep, but i don't think they'll be as successful this year.

Meantime, Jordan and co. coming off an embarassing showing in Toronto, and playing in front of the home crowd for the first time with a virtually brand new team. They should win this game, IMO.

*edited b/c I just got down on the Wiz at even*

Good luck Jeff

be careful of Washington. I have not gone over the matchup with Boston but the way they played yesterday they were totally out of synch.

In my opinion it does not matter if the team is play at home or on the road in terms of team chemistry. The team was not playing as a unit and I think it will take time for Washington to settle down.

Just a thought.
Cheers !!!

Spock-

I hear ya, and I know this is a bit of a risky play on WAS right now. But I just think the Celts are gonna struggle this year compared to last. They souldn't have traded Kenny Anderson.

I also see Washington coming out fired up tonight, and they are also the home team in a game between two teams playing B-to-B. NOt a big deal, but a factor IMO.

Either way, looks like I'm just about all alone on this play. Not sure yet if that's a bad thing or not.

Does MJ have any shame left?

Does MJ have any shame left?

You bet he does. That Washington performance last nite was pathetic. Abysmal. Horrendous. Em-bare-ass-ing. And they also didn't play very well.

The airwaves were full today of people saying, "Why did he come back????" "Why can't he just retire again and get the hell out of here???" "Why o why, Michael?"

Does he feel it? You bet he feels it. Does the team come out with a red hot poker up its ass? It better, at home and all. Will they shoot better? Hell, they can't shoot worse, and they should be focussed and afraid, very afraid.

They do NOT play "D" tonite. Not after the awful shooting performance last nite. Nor does Boston play "D", not like Toronto last nite. I would take the Over 185? except I gotta believe the Michael team comes out like an end-of-season game. It was THAT BAD last nite.

Oh well, that's my first pick here, I think. So prolly ya should fade it.

adding

adding

BOS/WAS over 93 2nd half 2 units

Washington should add another 45-50 -- Boston doesnt have it on defense tonight, bad matchups as well -- and outside shots are bound to start falling more for the C's.
