sorry i'm late - got caught up betting horses and almost forgot about the football. which means i haven't had time to really dig into this game, so i'm going with my gut.

duke (ML) 2 units to win 3. duke's run defense has been pretty bad, but i don't know if temple will be patient enough to stick with armstead. russo makes a lot of bad decisions - 13 TDs and 13 INTs.

also known as the "aren't bowl games supposed to be played in warm weather?" bowl.

miami (-2.5) 3 units
under (44) 2 units. no secret here, both teams thought they'd be in a bigger bowl game this year. so with both teams lacking in motivation, what's the edge? how 'bout revenge for last year's bowl game? not much else to go on here, so i'll take it. miami's defense has been pretty consistent against the run and the pass. just a hunch, but i think they'll need to focus on the run today.

this under feels too easy, really, but gotta play it.

i swear i was going to sit this one out. what a crapfest.

vandy (-4) 3 units. a few factors that convinced me to play this game.

1) it's a bowl game. duh.

2) i get to wager against matt ruhle, who is a horrible game coach. at least he was at temple. i am assuming he hasn't gotten any better.

3) while both teams were thoroughly mediocre, at least vandy was mediocre in the sec. 4 of their 6 losses were to ranked teams, and two of those were against notre dame and georgia. and i trust kyle shurmur a lot more than i trust charlie brewer.

4) vandy has won 9 of it's last 10 non-conference games. the only loss was earlier this year to notre dame. and let's not forget... that was a 5-point loss on the road at notre dame.

5) if shurmur struggles, ke'shawn vaughn averaged 7 yards/carry this year. baylor gives up 5/yards/carry.

i don't know if you were playing gulfstream today, but the 30-1 shot in the 9th was the only thing that came between me and hitting the rainbow 6. going into the 9th, there were only 102 live tickets, and i had 2 of them. :cursin:

😳 I feel your pain. I wasn't playing the ponies today, but have been that close before! Since moving to Wisconsin a couple years ago I've gotten away from horse betting. Grew up on the track in Del Mar, my dad taught me everything I know, miss those days. Go down to Arlington international track in Illinois during the season quite a bit, but not the same as Del Mar.
