The Mariners, winners of 5 out of their last 6 games, host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim tonight & I think Seattle will give Dan Haren his 5 loss in a row. Haren pitched better last time out but in his last 4 starts his numbers are: 23 innings pitched, 25 hits & 17 earned runs. To say the Angels are not giving him any run support would be a gross understatment. They have scored only 2 runs in in that stretch having been shut-out 3 times. Meanwhile Jason Vargas has been pitching well @ Safco Field so far this year. His numbers are: 21 innings, 13 hits & 3 earned runs. Pitched well last time @ a hitter friendly park(@ Colorado Rockies) & is 2-1 his last 3 starts. Just think the M's are playing better ball right now while the Angels continue to struggle @ the plate.
