D-Day 1944... Saving Private Ryan gets the point across about sacrifice early on, I'll never really understand that strategy @ Omaha.. I'm no expert though.
My dad and uncles were on aircraft carriers or fighting on islands in the south pacific so they missed Omaha Beach.. fortunately they survived their own involvements.
