Ticats banged up
By CP

HAMILTON -- Receiver Terry Vaughn is getting set to face Montreal for the first time since he was dealt to the Ticats in the off-season.

The two Eastern Conference rivals will meet today in Hamilton (5 p.m., CBC).

But a more pressing issue for the Steeltown squad is the state of its defence.

Rush end James Cotton suffered a broken left thumb in the club's loss last week to the Toronto Argonauts and is expected to be out about a month.

Tim Cheatwood, Hamilton's other defensive end, is nursing an injured right knee and might not play Saturday.

What's more, defensive linemen Roger Dunbrack and Mario Fatafehi both missed practice time this week with leg woes.

So the Ticats re-signed defensive end Steve Josue, who they released during training camp, and signed defensive lineman Anthony Collier, a late cut of the Eskimos who had 12 sacks last year for Ottawa.
