Try using priceline, I've gotten a ton of awesome deals using them. In fact, I am going away this weekend and staying at a 4 star hotel for $57 per night through priceline. The price on the hotel web site said the rooms cost $259 per night.

Lux but with priceline you cannot choose your own hotel right, it just purchases the first hotel in your prefrence (4 star for example) right?

Exactly, you pick the type of hotel (i.e. 4 star) and you pick the area you want to stay, but not a specific hotel. I've used them all across the country and always have gotten great deals. There is a site called Biddingfortravel dot com that has tips on how to get the best deals using priceline. There are currently down though because they got hacked, but check them out when they're back on-line. Lots of good info there.

No problem. I know priceline uses Marriott because I've gotten them quite a few times. Good luck!

$532 is a great price. It's that much from Calif. and you're starting 1500 miles farther away.
There are times I can get there for less than $200 ea. way, but thats departing from L.A and during the off season.
I'd buy the $500 ticket and don't look back...
