Where it is real F ing COLD
Just checked this out at my book.. I really don't think Detroit wins the World Series but I might be tempted on placing a couple hundred on em with good hedge opportunity cause I believe they win the AL central..

So I guess if I find a good price for AL central winner I will take that instead..

Detroit finished 3rd last year and were a .500 club but I like thee additions of Brad Penny and Victor Marinez.. Plus I think Scherzer and Porcello pitch much better this year..

Detroit was horrible last year on the road but I look for them to improve..

I am expecting the

Twins to be down
Chicago is OK
Royals are up and coming but not ready to challenge.
Indians Suck..

I have the Tigers capped at about 3.5 to 1 to win the division but I think they should be about 2 - 1 cause they are better than the Twins and Sox IMO

Will be coming up with team write ups some time in March with betting angles..

It is time to start thinking baseball... will be looking forward to the write ups....

What are your thoughts on the Brewers chances in the NL central? They should be improved - but improved enough to beat out the Reds and Cards???

I have to check into the Brewers a bit more but I love the Grienke and Marcum moves.. I know a bunch of people are saying that they gave up too much talent. Unproven talent gets people fired. Look at what the Twins did with guys like Slowey, Baker, and Blackburn. They could of got good proven players for those guys but since they were prospects they were listed as "untradeable." Those guys pitch in the low 90s and neither seen the field last year for the playoffs..

Now back to the Brewers, I have to see what they did to the bottom of the order as it sucked last year.. Well I checked their depth chart and it should be better but I dislike Gomez..

Need Braun to be more consistent.. I know his numbers were fine but he struck out a lot in key situations.. Can Hart stay healthy an entire season and can McGehee continue success..

Starting pitching should be good with

Greinke
Marcum
Gallardo
Wolf great for a 4 guy in rotation
Narveson

Not much for the Bullpen, I know it was better after the All Star break last year.

They should be better but catching the Reds could be difficult.. Love their pitching..

I think you pretty much have it nailed... the bottom of the order stunk last year - and assuming the SS from KC is in it, Gomez and probably LuCroy, it is likely not going to scare anyone again this year...

Bullpen - its so hard to tell right now - very few relievers are consistent from year to year - so guys turn out to be surprises at times.... Axford worries me the most - is he the real deal, or a one year wonder??? I always get scared of guys that were not considered great prospects - and then they come up and do well. Some of them work out and some of them don't.....

But I tend to disagree about prospects - having young guys under salary control is SO crucial to small market teams like Milw (and Minn). BA has the Brewers farm system as the worst in baseball this year. If this gamble does not work out (and it is probably only a 1 year window, with Fielder leaving after this year), the Brewers will likely be the equivalent of the Pirates or Royals for the next 10 years....

I know what you mean by prospects and many of them have helped the Twins but the Twins have had so many more over the years.. Brewers have kept many lately with Braun, Fielder, and Weeks.. But they desperately need pitching and now they got it,. I hope they sign Greinke to a long term deal. They got the money they make a ton every year. That Parking lot brings in tons of revenue plus they are selling a ton of tickets.. They got the money especially with Braun signing a low contract..

Me and my buddy buy a 20 pack for the Brewers every year.. Opening day series, Twins, and in August when the state fair is there. Glad the Braves are their this year for the opener. We sell the rest on Stub Hub.. We buy the 3rd level club box wait staff.. That section is great cause there is a bar there that doesnt shut off after the 7th inning and air conditioning if you need to get away from the heat every once in a while..

Diamondbacks acquired RHP Armando Galarraga from the Tigers for RHP Kevin Eichhorn and LHP Ryan Robowski.

Neither Eichhorn or Robowski are considered top-prospects.

Royals are up and coming but not ready to challenge.

KC has some highly rated prospects near the bigs, but they are no where near 'up and coming' status. They will have another miserable year and even if some of those guys get called up they aren't immediate impact guys.

They have no starting pitching and are going to get shelled constantly.
