I like A's - revenge from last year. They are a good team who does all the little things. Great pitching and I think Verlander isn't himself. Is Max going to be his dominate self for 2 games? I just don't see them. Good luck to you.

I live in the Bay and Oakland wants this series. I would have taken Detroit if I had not seen the A's take 3 of 4 in Detroit a month ago where Oakland blasted the tigers top 4 pitchers.

Agreed. I think I am going to pound the Tigs today, and then if they lose, get em for the series

I like that idea. It seems to me a lot of people are riding the Pirates, A's, and Rays. I know those teams are hot, but I think people are getting caught up in the emotion these teams have built and are forgetting the powerhouse teams they are going against.. the Cards, Tigers, and Sox.

I may be wrong or look like a chalk eater, but that is just how I'm seeing it.

A's are that good specially at home...IMO.
Scherzer is at max innings...He IMO is the best bet in the series or Sanchez. Verlander is gas how many times do we need to see him get shelled to accept it ?
Tigers SHOULD win this series but the way the A's mash it wouldn't surprise me to see them knock them off...

Veras/benoit in the 8-9 is a great combo...


Oakland pitching at home is much better, but parker milone can both be very inconsistent, and to be honest I think their most talented pitcher is sonny gray....problem is he is a rookie whom has never had this type of pressure. Balfour is great, and so is rest of the pen, but if I get to start a team and pick either of the two pitching staffs, I'm takin detroits right now. Benoit has honestly been so awesome this year and noone talks about him.


Now, I'm not sayin id take detroit because of it.....with homefield and the disciplined game the A's play, I think this is the most even series in the playoffs.

Kinda odd, because two teams whose approach from an offensive standpoint is much different.
