Ronnie doesn't like civil disobedience.

He thinks all Americans should bow before their corporate masters and Wall Street banksters.

To stand up to tyrants, you first have to get off your knees, Ronnie.

Tim Robbins and a lot of actors might be idiots, but you gotta admit Wall Street and the banks really put the screws on this country the past few years. We lost money, they seem fine.

There is some falsehood here.

Many Wall St banks were forced to take bailout money and as far as I know, all has been repaid with interest.

I have no love lost for Wall st and think that it is criminal that no one has been prosecuted following the meltdown in 2008 - both the people on Wall St and in DC should have been investigated.

From Time.com:

The larger point is this: The government's accounting of the bailout has always been very limited. The not-for-profit journalism group ProPublica has done as good a job as anyone of detailing how the government has done on TARP. The government ended up investing about $410 billion of the $750 billion. So far, the government has been paid back $260 billion and it has made a profit, in dividends and sales, of nearly $40 billion on that investment. But again, that doesn't mean the government has made money on the bailout. When you take all that into account, the government is still out about $110 billion. Many of the banks that have been so far been unable to pay back the government won't And that doesn't even take into account the money that the government had to spend bailing out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The government is still owed $138 billion on that bailout. A good portion of that money is surely gone.

puffs. So, don`t ask me.

MADDOW: Steve?

SCHMIDT: Republicans overwhelmingly do not
want to see her in the race. If she gets in the race, her poll numbers are
in the second or somewhere between the second and third tier of the
candidates?.She`s not going to be the Republican nominee.

Wallace and Schmidt seem sane, intelligent and rational, therefore it?s startling to realize a) they are still Republicans and b) they somehow manage to get out the false equivalencies such as Wallace suggesting that President Obama is as polarizing as Sarah Palin without gagging on the truth. President Obama has written two books that cover his policies and thinking process, and in no way does he come off as a partisan hack. Both Wallace and Schmidt are clearly clinging to the Jon Huntsman brand lifeboat for their Party. Let?s generously call them optimists, while acknowledging that it is their job to sell Americans on Republicans no matter how bad of an idea it actually might be for America.

What?s left in the ?ideology? of the GOP are a bunch of Randian economic policies meant to turn the country over to corporations, and that is only an easy sell to the Tea Party or with sleazy ad hominems such as ?pallin? around with terrorists?, a Nicolle Wallace creation most often attributed to Sarah Palin only because Palin was ignorant, short-sighted and power-hungry enough to actually say it.

The Party that sold you Sarah Palin has so far offered you the likes of Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain as real contenders. The sane folks like Jon Huntsman are left in the Tea Party dust. The only coherent, semi-sane contender is Mitt Romney, and Mitt Romney comes from such protected wealth that he suggested he was ?middle class? the other day. Romney has no idea what middle class is; but I can assure him that it?s not deciding which vacation home is best visited in fickle March.

Soon after the 2008 lost election, McCain staffers began talking. Schmidt told Anderson Cooper that he received a call from Palin?s debate prep team, saying the ?Debate will be debacle of historic and epic proportions?she was not focused, not engaged, not participating in prep. She sat in a catatonic stupor, head down.? Staffers from all levels describe Palin as ?mentally unstable?Unwilling to work? Mentally limited? Ultimately, unfit for office.?

In the book Game Change, by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, ?terrified staffers? contemplated asking McCain to have Palin step down. Most certainly, they determined that if McCain won, they would urge the senator to drop Palin, as it was ?unfathomable? and ?frightening? to them that Palin would be VP. And now we have Nicolle Wallace saying Sarah Palin is ?cuckoo for cocoa puffs,? which is slang for crazy.

Those are serious words for former campaign staffers ? a field where Omert? rules, and any kind of betrayal can get you blackballed forever. Loyalty is a must-have for campaign strategists. And now we have Nicolle Wallace?s book about a mentally ill Vice President, adding to the picture painted by numerous other Palin books which all tell the same story of an unstable, vindictive, incurious and lazy Sarah Palin.

As the Republicans struggle to find their One True Love this election season, the public should ponder the choice and selling of an unvetted Sarah Palin. The Republican Party hid Palin from the media in 2008 . The media went along with this dangerous charade and neither the Party nor the media seems to have learned one thing from this near disaster. We were close to having a mentally ill Vice President, serving a President who has suffered bouts with cancer. The implications of this are simply unfathomable.

In case you?re not sold on Palin being cuckoo for cocoa puffs, she told Greta Van Sustern last night on Fox News that she could beat Obama in 2012, right after she suggested that country is paying for the fact that President Obama was not vetted

She couldn't take the heat of being the governor of Alaska. Why anyone would think she could take the pressure of being President is beyond me.
