I had no $$ on the game.. but that call is an example of what's wrong w/baseball... absolutely terrible, horrific, putrid and has no place in the game.
It takes away from the integrity of the game.
I've umped over 1000 games and played in over 1000...There are plenty of close plays at first base.. there's bang-bang calls and sometimes u cant even tell out/safe on the replay... this wasn't one of them.
and.... he's the crew chief!! supposedly the most experienced and best of the group... ha!

when he sees the replay he should call the commisioner and retire!!
this was not a close play... no excuse for the call.
wow.... baddd friggin call... he should be too embarrassed to show himself to those teams again... whatever skills he once had are gone.
start a petition to get him removed from the game, I'll sign it!! Bring up some younger guy from triple A that'll work harder to get in best position to make the call...
dangggg.... I sound pretty pissed and I didn't even bet the game lol
