This post is for my benefit. I've been slipping lately in multiple phases.

This morning I weigh 219.8lbs, which is roughly 30lbs heavier than my "normal" weight and 40 lbs more than high school graduation weight. I'm fat, and have not worked out consistently in months. It's not only the weight that is a concern, but my lifestyle. While I drink less than ever, I still tend to ge out of hand once in awhile. Even worse, I drove intoxicated on Friday. WTF? Like I don't know better than to grab a freakin' cab:facepalm:

Anyway, I'm going back to this routine effective thursday and will not modify it until I reach 190lbs. I'm guessing it will take 2-3 months.........

Workout 5x weekly, 60 minutes elliptical and 15 minutes light lifting

oatmeal and natural supplements for breakfast

salad, lentils and other legumes for lunch

fruit for pm snack

small portion of dinner, focusing on fish and legumes for protein, with no meat, fried food, processed food allowed.

No consumption of anything but water after 8pm

All dairy will be cut out with the exception of the occasional fat free greek style yogurt with fresh fruit.

Water (mainly), coffee and tea will be by only beverages, with the exception of alcohol once weekly, usually for the LSU or Saints game.

I will also no longer be reading or posting in any forums aside from this one, and will no longer post in the general forum, as I find that it occupies too much time which I simply do not have to spare. I have always felt guilty about spending so much time on the forum, and I feel it is finally time that I do something about it.

You guys be well. Next stop, good health and great happiness. Cheers.

While you're doing that, I will be eating Taco Bell and drinking gallons upon gallons of beer and Coca-Cola.

This will be me someday.

Good Luck Cie

Maybe find sport golf-tennis to get involved in. Would be difficult for me to exercise just to exercise--but can play golf everyday-all day long.

--and agree on time spent socializing on internet/phones in general. When I was working more a few years back- it was item that bothered me also --when I considered value of time.

Don't abandon the links forum--good job down there :0074
--I got some good sources on info I'd be happy to share with you--shoot me a line.

--be well

Will do, dogs. I use a couple of sites, but always looking for more. I know you've been one of the more successful golf cappers here, so any input would be appreciated.:toast:

Cie, how tall are you?

Im 220-230lbs, which is about 45lbs over my high school weight, and I'm nowhere near fat. I'm also 6'4..i feel like I could also lose 15-20 lbs and be in good shape.

i've always thought that people should eat whatever they want in life, healthy or not. eat what you enjoy and like. why eat things that you don't or not enjoy meals. just do the exercise to keep a good balance. eat what you want, balance the calories taken in with the calories burned.

Cie, buy a sauna suit, thing does miracles for me when i do workouts!

It does matter what you eat. Well that is if you want to have a better than average chance to make it to old age.

where did i ever say it didn't matter what he eats? do you always just pick and choose whatever you want to say?

my point is, enjoy foods you like to eat, but stay fit by exercising. it's pretty clear that his weight issues have come from the lack of exercise and working out(he's made that obvious). i'm a firm believer in that there's no such thing as healthy food. everything is bad for you, just some things are worse then others.

Rod Smith never used a diet in his entire career. ate fast food and high sugar cereals. played a long time in the NFL. then you have guys who hire nutritionists and are always hurt or who don't play long. there are people who eat and smoke but live 100 years. it's all random.

everyone who has weight issues immediately thinks "diet" "i gotta eat better"...well yeah, you have to eat better, but exercise is the #1 component. it's like the people who wait til there 40-50 years old and wanna "exercise" or "go on a diet" they've been lazy for so long, and wonder why they can't lose weight. diets are a scam to con people out of their money.

You don't stay healthy by eating fast food and then burning it off. You are the king of bad advice on this site and that is saying something. It's not all random.

The guy seems more concerned with his weight and choices he's been making, not healthy eating.

You're the king of douche bags, so I've got no problem with my title.

BTW- Where'd you get your PhD?
