Yep getting in on the 4th-late afternoon. Don't know where I am staying yet. Where will you be?
Good to hear from you it's been awhile.

I'm pretty sure I'm staying at Wynn. If not, I'll be at Caesar's. We are flying in Friday night and leaving late afternoon on Monday. We'll have to get together.

Just came back from Atlantic City. I tried the $20 tip at Caesars. The girl said she could not upgrade us to a suite but she gave us a corner room that she said was an upgrade. She said they can only upgrade one level higher. For what it's worth.

Wife and I are going to Vegas on Thursday for our 9th Anniversary. Staying at the Cosmo in a Terrace one bedroom suite with fountain view. I'll tip $50 and see if we get upgraded.
Surprising her with Bruno Mars concert on Saturday night at MGM. Not my choice of concerts but she loves his music.

No need to tip at all.....

Ask for a manager before ya check in.

Just say you are coming all the way from Canada and are there for your Anniversary.

If the manager has an IQ above 35, he/she will take care of ya.

Also do the same thing with the shift supervisor/Pit Boss. He/she will hook you and your wife up. Concert tickets, free food, etc. Simply say you will be gambling at the casino.

No need to throw any extra money out there.

Note: If you want to throw a 50 buck tip go for it, but Hotels on the Strip love to kiss up to couples that are there for their Anniversary. Why? Because of great word of mouth. You can't pay for that type of advertising.

I agree with the part about it being good advertising and asking for what you want. When I got married in Vegas managers went out of their way to make sure we were happy on our special occasion.

However, the tip trick works well, has been successful for me at Venetian and Golden Nugget the last two times I stayed in Vegas.

Also, why wouldn't you want to tip them if there is a chance they can make something better for you? I don't get it, try not being such a cheap fuck next time kickserv, will serve you well.

There are threads all over the Internet about this. I did this at The Bellagio last time I was there and I got bumped into a nicer room.

Tu,
how much did you tip?
you think the outcome would have been any different if you tipped a little less or more?

You got a better shot at throwing three 12's in a row on the craps table, but hey, give it a shot.
