Sportsbook gave me some free money in my account since I hadn't deposited since football season. Done pretty well to turn $5 into $170 just dickin around the last 2 weeks. Figured I would share the games I was picking and try to help people make some money, hopefully it doesn't jinx the hell outta me.

2* to win 2.08* Mets +104
Always liked Young when he's not hurt. He was good at SanDiego when healthy and came out real strong at beginning of the season in 2 outings. Mets staff overall is pretty bad but this guy is a solid pitcher and Nats without RZ are just not that good. Jason Werth not performing like they expected him to. Traded away their power in Dunn. Jordan Zimmerman yet to come close to living up to his hype

3-Game Parlay

.75* to win 4.27*

Dodgers -137 Kershaw has been on all month

Bosox/Orioles Under 9 not worried about Buccholz getting lit up by the Orioles and Britton has been great for the birds considering the division

Reds +104 not sold on Estrada yet considering he's only a spot starter til Greinke gets healthy and in his 2 actual starts he got tuned up by the Braves and his other start was vs. Nats w/o Zimmer so that really doesn't even count in my book. Leake is pretty solid but more importantly he gets run support. Better to be lucky than good

Good start for a first posted play. Gonna keep a record of plays of 1* or more. factor "tryin to get lucky" parlays into the total *s won but not the record.

2011: 1-0 +1.33*

Got one for the 11AM game might have another afternoon game as well.

1.57* to win 1.5* Dodgers-Marlins Under 7.5

Billings was roughed up in his 2 first away games but I give him benefit of the doubt running into a hot Rockies team @ Coors and wasn't really THAT bad at SF. Got it back together in his last 2 starts, one which was away. Historically the guy is much better away from LA. Anibal been pitching pretty solid this year and has always been better at home. Dodgers bats been pretty soft in the first 2 games of this series. Don't see them coming out with a ton today and Marlins aren't gonna do that much damage to Billings either. Also like betting on Unders in day games when it's gonna be sunny b/c hitter tend to struggle a little bit seeing the ball in most outdoor parks

Back with more later probably. GLTA

Adding an afternoon parlay:

1.14* to win 1.07*

Braves (action) -106
Hanson better career ERA away from home. 2-0 Record vs. Pads, both outings at Petco. Braves have gotten pretty hot since leaving LA takin 4 of L5. Latos off to a slow start 0-3 not gonna write him off as a 1-hit wonder by any stretch but may still be slightly injured or just very unlucky (only a .194 batting average against so far).

May come back for a night game pending these two bets' success

Lost the early Under. Tailed Pro on Brewers Over so got that money back thankfully.

adding this one don't know why it didn't jump off the page earlier:

1.43* to win 1.5* Phillies -1.5 (+105)

Joe Saunders is terrible. Had one good year for the Angels. Doesn't get Ks. Walks too many people. Phillies should be all over this guy. Like Hamels road showings so far and like him against some of the lefties in this DBacks lineup. Good matchup overall

Just got an email from Sportsbook saying my Parlay was turned into a straight bet due to Rockies-Cubs cancellation. Will edit to reflect this change

Should have just taken the Cardinals straight and not thrown the Giants in a parlay. Giants are on a bad slide right now and if Lincecum, Sanchez or Cain aren't pitching they really don't have too many of arms to put on the mound. Which is why I think their experiment today starting Vogelsong is not gonna be a successful one. Guy has never been good at baseball. But I guess the SF minor league system doesn't have any prospects worth starting. Between the lack of offense SF bats have shown the last week and Vogels 4.83 ERA in AAA last year... makes me get on:

2.2* to win 2* Pirates -110

Pretty much said all I needed to say on why I'm going against SanFran here. But also, Karstens is not that good of a SP. He can usually limit the damages though. Pirates are just hitting good and doing damage to lower/middle-tier right handers.

Will also be putting a smaller play on 1st 5 innings in this game.

updated record:

3-2 +0.83*

Guess the only thing I didn't account for is 3 errors and 3 un-earned runs by the Giants. Very unlucky on that bet Karstens pitched a good game.

Back to the drawing board

3-3 -1.37*

just one today:

1* to win 0.74* Brewers -134

Brewers hitting the ball pretty good. Marcum is solid. Never been a believer in Myers even though this matchup is a rematch from 4/23 that Houston won and Myers got the decision. Vegas puts the Brewers as the favorite in the rematch.

Nice way to come back to MLB. Rays get a win and give a couple guys rest.

Got one more afternoon play:

1.78* to win 2* Arizona +112

Posey sitting today. Hudson is a solid young pitcher that gets a lot of strikeouts. I can see him stranding a lot of runners. Not really a big fan of Matt Cain or the Giants without their best hitter

Updated record:

5-3 +0.67*

Tough L in the Zona game, luckily the Bulls were easy money last night and turned a profit yesterday. One day game today and I'll bite on it:

2* to win 1.8* Giants -110 listed pitchers

Giants staff is solid as a rock. Bumgar has settled down into a pretty nice groove just isn't getting any run support. Going against Dumpster should remedy this issue. I see SF taking at least 2 games in this series with the possible sweep coming on Sunday depending on Vog's outing.

MLB Record:

5-4 -1.11*
