I am not an expert, but since I love the SEC, I'll give you my opnion. IMO FL is a tweener this year. They have great talent and a coach that is one of the best coaches in the SEC. FL got caught early with a few injuries and didn't start impressing people until they played KY. After that game they gelled for a few games and are now tired. I expect the sec tourny to be close to the same way. FL will upset a few teams early and then get blown out by Ark or Vandy. They might make the tourny. I try to bet on them at home. It seems they are much better there. If they make the tourny, expect them to go pretty deep (at least 16 on coaching alone).

Florida is so young, and they are definitely rebuilding. They have great talent though and just need to mature. Their scheduling was extremely week non-conference this year. Their first 12 games were all at home against total nobodys. Is it better to have a weak as water non-conf. schedule and beat everybody, or have a tough non-conf schedule and lose the games? They have a bad loss at home to LSU, but other than that, I would say their games have gone as expected in the W/L column. If they can somehow beat UT at home, I think they're in. Other than that, it's iffy. The SEC is down this year (understatement).

For sure a down year for the SEC. The East is stronger than the West. I think we get 4 teams in maybe 5.

1. TN
2. Vandy
3. FL
4. Miss St.
5. Ark

UT and Vandy are locks. Looks like Mississippi State will make it too with a 20-10 overall and 11-5 in the conference. Don't count out my UK wildcats either. I think if they finish 17-12 or 18-11 overall and 11-5/12-4 in the conference AND win at least 2 games in Atlanta, I think they're in.

KY could replace Miss St. if state does not get far in the SEC tourny. The thing is all 3 top West teams are 18-8. Miss has the easier sched to finish, but is cold. Miss st. is the hot hand and has good D. Ark. has the better tallent but a tough finishing schedule. The rest of the schedule will be very important (especially in the west). Can't wait to see KY @ TN. Actually TN's next 3 games will be tough!!! @Vandy, Ky, @FL.
