For all the shit games we've witnessed on Thursday's, I gotta say....this one has me excited.

PHILLY--- I love Carson Wentz. Said before his draft year that both Rams and Brownies would regret not having him on their teams for the next 10+ yrs....maybe he wont be as good as I thought/think, but I think he can be a HOF'er if he continues to develop...he is that kind of talent ....and the competitor he is reminds me of the greats....Brady/manning/rodgers....they are all obsessed with Winning and competing.....i think Wentz is cut from same mold....guys like Mcnown, Cutler, Glennon....they have the same size, arm strength, tools...but watching the greats it always seems like they refuse to not improve everyday...and never accept mediocrity....after a loss I feel like Cutler goes home and plays Dungeons and Dragons or some shit.....where guys like Wentz go home, use a knife to carve the names of those who beat him into his arm, and use that as motivation to improve.... I like the WR corp they assembled around him and Ertz can seperate from most DB's let alone when he's matched up vs a linebacker.....

CAROLINA--- cam is a problem for any defense. His mobility is impossible to prepare for....the same can be said for his size and speed. It makes them feel impossible to shut down completely.....having Cam in any capacity helps, but when he is playing like he has the past 2 weeks, its a nightmare.....he is sitting in the pocket and just shredding teams....he isnt relying on his legs or his scrambling.... just one or the other is hard to defend....sitting in pocket and ripping teams or running and breaking contain.....WHEN you have a QB who can do both, it's literally unstoppable....

So, we know Cam and this offense will score....philly defense is good...They are opportunistic and they have good dline depth....but when Cam is throwing with accuracy, we just talked about how hard it is knowing he can also take off with his feet as soon as you show him your back....so to me it comes down to philly keeping pace....and I said what I think of Wentz....so i dont expect him to get blown out on national TV....so my gut tells me they keep pace and score 28-31 themselves....i know Carolinas D at home is nice, but too many weapons and I expect Blount to soften em' up

A QB who is impossible to stop
A QB who refuses to lose

To me, that makes the OVER look tempting as hell.

Great write up Addict. I'm so glad Wentz is my boy for the next 10 years hopefully? I love his height advantage on the field and I think that's a very important characteristic for a quarterback he has made some unbelievable throws over the past four games a lot of which werent caught but if you give him a receiver or two that has hands it's going to be a nightmare for anybody.

 I feel like I lost my touch with the Eagles. When McNabb was there I always thought I had a good feel of course the games I posted barely won and the ones I didn't always did

I knew once we got rid of chip in we be on our way uphill again and I think we're headed in the right direction. Possibly even a one win playoff team . But it's the same story as it's always been for the Eagles no wide receivers and if these guys look good it's only because of Wentz.

I'll tell you this just from watching the past 20 years when non-eagle fans are gassed up on the eagles it's never a good thing

That's The best I have to right now? Not going to give you power rankings in statistics in injury reports definitely not as skilled enough Capper to do so just a guesser

Hopefully this all comes out right using talk to text

I Continue to be impressed by Wentz

-P4p,

You really don't like the weapons around him?

Alshon is legit WR1

Smith is your deep threat

Agohlor is young but getting better

Ertz is a matchup nightmare (ecspecially in the red zone)

The backfield help....
Blount is your bruiser
Smallwood change of pace
And when healthy, Sproles as your 3rd down back

I loved the Alshon/Smith/Blount moves this offseason....showed me they are committed to winning now....all 3 provide help to create Td's in different areas

Jeffrey a huge target which helps inside the redzone
Smith a burner to stretch the field between the 20's
And blount absolute monster to bring down which helps on the goal line

Perhaps im just high on them because I pushed all my chips in prior to the draft 2 yrs ago....I debated many times with different people and argued that Wentz was the no-brainer #1 pick over Goff....

I missed a lot on that draft...I liked Leonard Floyd a ton too....as well as Keanu Neal and Karl Joseph...all 3 still have to make strides to become legit stars and perennial pro bowl types...Neal has most promise I suppose...(I also thought zeke was taken too soon lol...way off on that prediction as well....)

Wentz may be the only player of the 5 that I end up predicting correctly, but I think he is the best of that entire draft when we look back in 20+ years....including zeke....

Looking back....knowing the 6 game schedule to start season

4 of the 6 on the road and 2 against divisional opponents....

If you could've guaranteed 5-1 with a 2nd year QB against that schedule, everyone would have signed off on that.. .

Im rooting for Wentz so I hope you keep having reasons to celebrate :toast:

Unfortunately I only caught bits and pieces of the game because I was streaming it on YouTube and the streams kept getting disconnected. I'll admit the place I did see the wide receivers did look good and they made the catch is but at the same time the defenders weren't that close to them. When I watch them against the Redskins the receivers were well covered most of the time and wentz was making moneyball throws putting it exactly where it needed to be for the receiver to catch it and they dropped them.you have to be able to make those catches.

I have no problem with our backfield I love the combo that we have.

Defensively or secondary will need to be better and that's where I think we need another player two.

You can't ask for anything more than sitting at five and one right now with the schedule that they had a football gets tougher and tougher as the season goes on until you're back is against the wall and you're in a must win situation. Until I see them win one or two of those games I'll let everybody else beat the drums for the Eagles. I've emotionally detach myself from this team after heartbreak year after year after year after year.

The only player I can stand behind right now is Wentz and he is the real deal.

Never been a superstar picking games but it will get better.

Having a solid guy such as yourself on the eagle side is more than OK with me :0074
