Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you?re a conservative radio host. Then it?s an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

?Standing Tall for America? means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

A woman can?t be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans? benefits and combat pay.

Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won?t have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Global warming and tobacco?s link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush?s daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a ?we can?t find Bin Laden? diversion.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

The public has a right to know about Hillary?s cattle trades, but George Bush?s driving record is none of our business.

You support states? rights, which means Attorney General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt.

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the ?80s is irrelevant.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

Good balance, Bubba. Would like to add one or three on the Republican side to keep Blitzie in balance:

Keep government out of business and reduce regulations on business unless of course, it come to jury awards against businesses wherein government must limit what a jury decides as fair, and

Throw those tax and spend democrats out of office while we push the largest tax increase in American history on the middle class benefitting the rich and corporate america, and

Clinton lying under oath about a bj is an impeachable offense but, Reagan lying under oath during deposition in one of the Iran Contra criminal trials (Poindexter I think) about his knowledge of supplying arms to the contra is heroic and in the national defense.

First you must believe in small government. Some how that is lost with Mr Bush. You want to see the rich get very rich because your going to have your hand in there pockets. You really believe that trickle down works.

Per difference of Clinton/Reagan lying under oath.
Did they not teach you in law 101 that there is a difference of proof and being convicted -- and accusations???
Typical legal spin.

-but while I'm here and have covered the class action abuse pretty extensively already lets travel to yet another area where tax payors and Americans are bilked by the legal system.

Lets move up the ladder from your standard personal injury area to defence attorneys if I may.

Its bad enough when you have an attorney as in the Westerfield case--I'll be easy, as this is view from most positive aspect from attorneys view I could find.

Now that end of it is reason enough but not the coupe de grace
Most people think these killers are the only ones that pay for these high priced mouth pieces.

If you think they take these cases solely for publicity (or as Ed would like you to believe, helping the little guy) Think Again.

Dogs:

I have no idea what your point is on the defense lawyer stuff. I think if the guy is worth $500.00 an hour, God bless him. I'm sure you have never charged a large premium. With regard to Clintons' bj and the lying Dutchman, how can you distinguish lies to a grand jury, under oath, and lies to an attorney, under oath, in a deposition.

Is Reagans lie okay cause he's one of the boys and Clintons lie not okay cause you hate his guts? Seems like your splitting hairs. Reagan lied, no accusation, no conjecture, he lout and out lied. As I told you in a much earlier thread, I was at a seminar and the speaker was the guy who took the feeble minded ones deposition.

Not assumptions or conjecture but an out and out lie. Does it get played up. Not really. See us moderates expect that both sides lie a hole lot and are not too surprised when it happens. You right wingers take every opportunity to point out lies from politicians you dont like. You guys just can't admit that.

When Reagan lied, you cover. When Bush lies, you cover. When Clinton lied you scream at the top of your lungs. Same old, same old.

You know, I read all this political bantering from each side of the aisle, and it had me wondering. What made you become a democrat or republican. Was it your parents? I honestly don't remember mine having any influence over me. Always said I'd vote for the man rather than the party. However, seems like the man was always a republican.

I started out when I was younger as a Democrat because my parents were Dems and I didn't know any better. As I got older and wiser I switched (actually I'm registered as unenrolled or Independent, but usually vote Republican). After years of working on my father He just finally switched from a lifelong Dem to a Republican, he was sick of them raising his taxes and he realized that the Dems are the party of the non-working people not the working people. Sidenote- he is a lifelong union member and his union has always tried to brainwash it's members to vote Dem...

Once I started my own business 16 years ago and it started to grow, I was driven to one side more than the other. Now, I'm considered "rich". This couldn't be farther from truth. Though I do genuinely believe they (politicians) are all full of $hit and only interested in helping themselves in the long run. Public service is a pipe dream.;)

Thank God I have a very good accountant:D

IntenseOperator Your Dead On. If they were so worried about us. We would all have there insurance and reteirment plan. And becareful with label of rich. Because most rich do not want to share. Enough is never Enough and they get real greedy. The equaliser is health. They get sick just like the poor. And some times all the money in the world wont save there ass.
