First off to all you American people and especially your guys and girls in the forces

BEST WISHES TO YOU ON THANKS GIVING DAY

Now while you are all tucking into your fourth helping of "stuffing the bird" ;) help yourself to some money.

Green Bay at Detroit Lions

Detroit has been a success on Turkey Day, posting a winning record through 63 Thanksgiving Day games and have not lost three straight on Thanksgiving in almost 20 years. The Packers open as -6.5 point favorites in Detroit despite the fact the Lions are 6-0 ATS L6 and 9-1 L10 at home against the Packers. However, as with all trends they have to stop and reverse some time and that starts today. I can hear you all saying that the Pack cant play on artificial carpet and in a Dome and that the Packers are a team built to play on grass. Not just here in Detroit, but on every astro-turf stadium in the NFL. That all changed when the Lions installed the Field turf. As you know this surface plays and feels more like real grass than astro-turf. In fact, the Packers had actually lost 4 in a row SU here prior to installing the field turf in 2001. Since then the Packers have not lost here. They've now have 6 straight wins against Detroit, by a combined score of 92 points, an average of better than 15 ppg. In the last three games against the Lions, Brett Favre has been on fire, completing 72 of 114 passes for 840 yards and 7 TD's with just 2 picks.

Play on Green Bay -6 (buy the half point).

Agree with you, but maybe not for the same reasons. Green Bay is a better team and should be highly motivated in trying to catch Minnesota, which plays at St Louis this Sunday.

I like GB 24 - 13....

Good luck...
