So I put down a nice chunk of change on UVA -2.5 against Clemson when the lines were posted Sunday.Next thing I know, its off the board because of Clemson injuries, primarily Whitehurst.

Anyway, it re-opened at 5 today and I have a feeling it may go up another point or so by gametime. What would you do? I like UVA a lot, especially with Clemson's injuries, so I'm leaning toward leaving it alone. But it also would be a hell of a middle...on the other hand, I'll kick myself if I cost myself an easy winner and tie up a bunch ofmy bankroll in the process. Then again, greed kills...aargh.

Opinions?

I've been in you position before, and it sucks.

You could always just middle part of it (say, half) and let the rest of it go.

First and foremost, if two contrasting plays on a single game

tie up a bunch ofmy bankroll in the process

than you're already in trouble.

JMO.

You've already answered the question as to the victor in this contest, but how confident are you and do you feel this is a close number. Those are questions to ask yourself. Don't let the number, even if it goes to 8, affect your rationale. Handicap the game first, not the spread.

I hear you onthe money management comment..and the handicapping comment.

What can I say...this was my biggest play. While i try not to go to big on any one play, I don't necessarily abide by the 2 or 4 or 5% rulesome do. Sometimes you just have to take your shots at the man.

You're right, though, and just looking at the game,I gotta stick with my original bet. Whenevr I try middles they lose anyways:p

Thanks guys for the comments.
