5/18

5/18

just off the top, first takes in looking over todays card

glasnow (pit) vs wash : decent mph, but gets hit hard. pirates had something like 19 lob yesterday, but won, and wash bats were silent vs COLE. think they make noise today - take look at over (?)

streaks worth a look: tex won L8. cin lost L5

bundy (bal) @ det: ive been waiting for bundy to fall apart, but has been pretty solid thus far, hasnt had a blow up outing as yet (least since ive been tracking) - have tried hand couple times at getting an over out of it, yet again, he just has pitched too well, and hasnt cooperated (take look at over, or team total over)

in Bill Welke's last 6 games as plate ump he's called games that have gone OVER (7-1 this year overall) as well as 41 of 60 going back as far as '15 (at a 68% clip).WAS/PIT Total set at 9.5

already invested in WASH pretty strongly so will;lay this at lesser amount

action rev

was -130 / over 9 -130

good luck all

im actually gonna breakdown eveyr game here in my thread, just so i have something to go off of in future

bundy's starts have alternated from over to under to over -- with last as an under loss for him

i think orioles get back in win column for only 2nd time in last 6 - and go over in the process

everything on a 1-10 rating

1* Balt -131 Bundy/Zimmerman

1*
Baltimore Orioles* Over 5 -140 vs Detroit Tigers D Bundy - R Listed J Zimmermann - R Listed

5/18 cont (col / min)

5/18 cont (col / min)

santana (min) vs col GM 1*: santana has looked great - by numbers at least, as has only allowed more than 1 er in his starts ONCE - and that was 2 starts ago, vs boston (a rare game i did watch the last innings in, on tv). was up against chris sale, who was very unlike himself in allowing 6 runs - and the runline was very much in doubt in late innings until sox exploded for 10 run inning in 8th to put this one outta reach.

--so then is he bound to let up a couple across the plate today?

other interesting tidbit on twins

Byron Buxton's homer in the bottom of the fourth inning tied things up for twins, but more interestingly extended the team's streak of games with a HR to 16 in a row
It made it the 16th straight game with a Twin home run, which ties a franchise
record that was set in 1979. The major league record is 27 (by the '02 TEX rangers)

i dont have any real read on this game as yet, though will be keeping eye on it throughout for the 2nd game of double header

read on double headers, I don?t have exact math on, but by my acct, it?s a rare thing for a team to sweep a double header, so whomever wins the initial game, will be leaned on as a play against in late game

chalk up that I was against berrios in his first start up (his last/first outing) and has me already leaning min 1[SUP]st[/SUP] gm, col 2[SUP]nd[/SUP]

update: I caved, and based solely on belief twins split doubleheader, think they have better chance in 1[SUP]st[/SUP] game and will bite on 1[SUP]st[/SUP] 5 innings attempt, what with their recent pen struggles

1* Minnesota Twins -? +100 vs Colorado Rockies for 1st 5 Innings G Marquez - R Listed E Santana - R Listed

2 oclocks - phi and cin

2 oclocks - phi and cin

right off the jump phi on a 3 gm losing streak and only 1-6 L7

couple that with tex currently sporting an 8gm wining streak merits some attention

admitedly, i know nothing of nick pivetta for phi, though on basis of correction only - that and both squads having curious late inning go to guy (minus Bush for tex) will garner a play on phi for me

a small one mind you

2* Philadelphia Phillies +132

the other 2ish start however, is one i can really sink my teeth into, as having a gut feel for a cinci win.

amir garret was recalled for cin to start vs lester

garrett looking like this years version of the early vince velasquez from last year. losta K's early on, then somewhat of a rough patch, i think after a slight course correction (minors) perhaps holds own and finds reds waving the W flag at end

apparently last 9 meetings between these squads, has produced 9 overs

cin on 5gm losing streak, cubs on 2gm winning streak

Lesters last 6 starts have all gone over - which finds me leaning under here. though has lost his last 2 starts as well.... which finds me pumping brakes on cinci -some-

i'll bite on the under, and cin for very plus money, hoping can get it to iglesias and close cubbies out for a w

both 2*

Cincinnati Reds/Chicago Cubs Under 11 -125 (A Garrett - L must Start J Lester - L must Start)

(2.5* actually) Cincinnati Reds +187 vs Chicago Cubs A Garrett - L Listed J Lester - L Listed

Well the early games were quite a punch in the mouth. Gonna try and stay the course though.

Was/ov L/W
Phi L
Cin L
Under L

Live: 0-3

Doubly painful as Nats couldn't plate one more for my parlay -ov 2.5 1st 5 was onnnllly saving grace

Onto night action. Atl gotten better of jays so far, but if freeman out will be huge mental loss, they might step up and contribute with him gone, on adrenaline for a game, but I'm betting against that. All 3 gms gone over, so will play the under 8 and pair with Yankees for 3* act reverse. I don't actually like Montgomery, but figure bats get to Duffy

I've been riding Mia and volquez since his opening day, line good start. He has not paid off -the price is inflated at +180 especially when consider going against ryu

I'll be reopening 15 teamer with juicy +180 marlins.

Also for action sake will be on the twins as a double-header-teams-don't-sweep angle for a measly 1*

Good luck all, I know I'll need it
