Well I'm gonna start with the Red River Rivalry today. I'm taking Texas -3 on this one. It certainly looked like Texas had the "look ahead" problem last week with Colorado, in the first half anyway. Obviously, that won't be an issue today. I like the way Texas mixes things up, and I expect a good offensive showing today from the Horns. I still think there are enough question marks for OK this year to scare me away from them. Don't get me wrong, I think the Sooners are good, but I think Texas is stable and solid.

Second play is a small play on Iowa. The Hawkeyes aren't too hard to figure out. They know how to win close games. They've had their share of them this year for sure. I like the way Stanzi has multiple targets to throw to, and they have two capable running backs. Wisconsin should come into the game fired up after the loss to Ohio State last week, and they have a bye week coming up, but I still don't see them getting it done today. Tolzien just doesn't make me comfortable enough. So I'm taking the team with the better QB in my opinion.

Stepping into the ACC for the next play. I really like NC State today (I don't think I've ever muttered that phrase before). I know that they've lost two in a row, but they'll put up enough points today to win the game. BC just doesn't look good on the offensive side of the ball. After watching them play a couple of times this year, they don't impress me. I know they have a great story with Herzlich this year, but I really think that the team is starting to run on fumes. NC State's offense is certainly very capable of putting up big numbers. Russell Wilson makes big plays and he's very solid and cool under pressure. The Wolfpack will rebound nicely today with a win.

Last pick for now is also out of the ACC. Wake Forest and Clemson is an interesting matchup today. Clemson has under-achieved this year and Wake needs a win today to atop the Atlantic Division in the ACC. In fact, if Clemson wins this game, they'll be right back in the mix too. Clemson will play well today in front of the Death Valley crowd, and Wake will struggle to get going. This game will be close at halftime, but Clemson will win the game. As a little bit of insurance though, I'm buying a point to lower spread below the key number.
