Toddlers shot someone every week in US for last 2 years

We all know, the only thing that stops a bad toddler with a gun, is a good toddler with a gun.
No guns is the obvious solution. Making them much more difficult to own is more realistic, and making the difficult to keep is an even better twist. I think you should lose the privilege for a period of time for any offense, including parking tickets and traffic offenses. Any sign of being irresponsible and you lose your guns for a year. DUI, 10 years.....tax evasion, life.
I'd be leery having local prosecution of minor crimes result in the loss of my right to defend myself. Realistically it will take 50-100 years to implement and enforce enough gun laws to reduce the circulation/availability of guns to a point where deaths plummet. At least considering a decent size of the population favors gun rights.
Seems like a daunting problem
Legalize drugs and dedicate the resources to this. or, we can do nothing and ignore our gun problem while we worry about refugees killing us that actually don't.

1) Same can't be said for cars since they aren't designed to kill
2) People aren't responsible enough to lock up their guns (take a look at the article). THAT'S WHY WE NEED MORE RESTRICTIONS!
