also -- ranked mac teams have been money burners the last few years on the road. bg lost as a top 25 team in northern 2 yrs ago. niu lost as a top 25 team at bg and toledo last year. throw bg's ranking out the window, especially since this is the biggest rivalry in the mac and toledo is the better team anyway.

whats at stake for bowling green ....a win here pretty much assures them of a bowl berth somewhere. a win would put them at 9-2 overall and extend their winning streak to eight games. but with northern illinois defeating emich last saturday, bg is eliminated from mac contention.

whats at stake for toledo ....a win here sends them to ford field on december 2nd to play miami for the mac championship. a toledo loss sends northern illinois to the title game against miami.

recent series history ....this is a rivalry in the truest sense. home field advantage is big. the home team has won the last 6 in this series and bg hasnt won in toledo since 1994.

Agree. Not much of a MAC guy but recent history does say Toledo is great as a home doggy. Once BetJamaica puts the ML I might look into that as well. But the real question is this...do you think the line will move for us? A lot of people who do not know the history of this conference might see that ranking next to BG and take them on a nationally televised game. Just something to think about I guess.

Was looking at this game and at first look money will be running to BG. I know how good Gradkowski is at home and he has been sharp of late. Also the Rockets defense has stepped up, wondering how BG will do against a team that plays decent defense. They handled Goddard from Marshall but #99 from the Herd had a few sacks. don't think they can concentrate on one player vs. the Rockets. They have also gotten a huge boost from their RB! Nice option to have using Playaction to freeze IMO a bad BG defense. I'll tell you this, I'm looking at the over hard!

you are right about that. even aside from gambling, this is gonna be a great game. two of the best offenses in the nation. two of the best quarterbacks most dont get a chance to see regularly. the best rivalry in the mac. its gonna be fun.

and somethings gotta give. i believe im 5-1 on side plays with toledo. and 0-3 betting on/against bg. lol. falcons have exceeded my expectations, but as you know, ive said all along i believe toledo is the best team in the mac. so we'll see if they can prove it on tuesday (and then next week in the mac title gm)

Uhh, you may not like his beliefs, but I'm pretty sure the reason he's not here isn't because he's "against us", it's because he's serving a second tour with the U.S. Army in Iraq. I believe he was deployed in October.

bugsy - accuweather has temps in the upper 40s with a slight chance of showers, with no wind - which is the key. Personally, I would never let weather factor an under play unless there are sustained winds of 15 mph +......Wind seems to always affect passing, kicking, etc. IMO, some rain and cold, especially on turf, doesn't affect the play on the field.

I think these two teams are chucking the ball all over the field tonight.

i know where youre coming from with the public dog angle (although i think its more applicable in college hoops). not sure if toledo applies here, because ive seen some 60/40 and 62/38 consensus numbers on bg. regardless, ive felt from day 1 toledo is the best team in the conference so id be taking my chances even if toledo was layin -3. this isnt the first time vegas has hung some numbers on mac games where the ranked mac team goes down. its happened the last few yrs. we'll see how it goes. gl bud

IIRC (if I remember correctly), Hella had some unpopular opinions regarding the US government. Big debates occured on this board and Hella decided it wasn't worth arguing with the guys here.
