thanks fellas. appreciate the words.
game certainly started ominously for toledo. was less than thrilled that gradkowski was in a 14-0 hole before he took his first snap.
but rockets did what theyve been doing for years in that stadium: they hit teams with quick scoring strikes that change the complexion of the game and then feed off the momentum. and gradkowski is a friggin stud. he played a less than stellar 1h, but was incredible in the final 40:00. jacobs played great too, but he finally showed signs of being mortal once the opposition got some pressure on him and he wasnt sitting back there working a 7-on-7 drill. and rockets were able to take advantage of their strong offensive line to run the ball right at bg in the 2nd half when it counted.
no secret to who ill be on in the mac championship game next week. have all the respect in the world for miami, but rockets get a revenger against the redhawks for all the marbles. and they get it in essentially a pseudo-home game. mac moved the title game from campus site to detroit, but that 45 minute drive north will make for a very pro-toledo crowd. and rockets are familiar with ford field from past bowl gm.
im thinking we're looking at a pick game with a total of 60 or 61 in the title game.
