Haha lets see I think he hit all the Lefty stereotypes

Hates women - check ( his poor wife and daughter. Wonder if he keeps them locked in a dungeon.)

Hates gays- check

Hates immigrants - check

Hates the poor - check

Hates the environment - check

rich white man who only cares about other rich white men- check

He left out old people but I think that's about it..

Sooo ridiculous the caricature the left create for any person or politician with an R next to their name. I had no idea my parents were such evil individuals.

Don't know much about Ryan. Heard him speak a few times during the elections.. But I would imagine Tom Morello has ever taken the time to listen to him or anyone else. His mind is made up and his assumptions are made and nothing will change it. Its easier to just to have your labels than to listen to both sides and actually do some thinking on your own. And that goes for the majority of both Dems and Repubs

Interesting. You claim to not know much about Ryan, but yet set out to defend him/his platform/his alleged perspectives. As well, it doesn't appear that Morello is railing about a particular group or demographic; rather, one particular individual. I certainly don't see him referring to your parents or any other self-identifying Republicans, for that matter.

Maybe, just maybe, Morello knows what he speaks of....in this case.

And being self-professed libertarian Marxists and anarcho-communists, I believe that Morello and the rest of the band fall outside of the typical Dem/Rep paradigm.

Peace! :)

As usual you missed the point completely. I don't know much about Ryan. I had to google him to see if he was even married. I wasn't championing his platforms or perspectives either. My point was the far left seem to label every Republican this way.. Weather its Paul Ryan Mitt Romney or any other republican who said they enjoyed his music he would have spewed the same nonsense. A lot of libs paint all republicans with the same brush of being evil without hearing a word they say. I am sure there are plenty of Repubs that do the same thing.

I did another google search... Turns out Morello who cares so much about the poor is worth over 30 million dollars. Typical hypocritical BS that I find so maddening. This joker blasts Ryan as greedy and hates poor people while at the same time he has 3 times the amount of money in the bank than Ryan does. I guess its only white republicans who should share their wealth.

If he was a true communist, would he not share his money so he did not have more than his fellow neighbor??

Alright, so I'll take this section as being your "point." And you're talking about approximate worth, right? I'm not entirely sure of the accuracy of these accounts (it's highly unlikely that you or I will ever know for sure), but if google could provide an accurate depiction, then here are the corresponding top 3 hits in terms of charitable deeds.

Paul Ryan

Vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan:

Income: $323,416

Federal taxes: $64,764

Tax rate: 20 percent

Charitable donations: $12,991

Percentage of income: 4 percent

So perhaps the google aggregate has gone awry. Perhaps Ryan's charitable selflessness are presented in pages 10 and beyond. I simply don't have the time nor the interest to dig further than the first page. And in front of you are the results.

What someone is "worth" is an arbitrary amount, anyway. It's not directly linked to one's bank account. But I could certainly guarantee that Morello gives away far more than $13K per year to charity.

Given these "facts" and what I do "know" about Morello and his convictions, I would be inclined to believe that he is far more charitable than Ryan. So I'll let Morello have the final word....

Morello?s certainly not afraid to be honest about his views on charity: ?I don?t believe it?s the least bit important for celebrities to be involved in charitable causes. I think it?s important for people with commitment to social justice issues to speak their minds no matter what line of employment they?re in.?

Peace! :)
