On a side note, when I was doing the golfing thing down in Florida, RollTide was my caddy, we went to Gainesville and stayed with his Grandpa for a day or two. Low and behold we are out playing one evening and a group pulls up and it is the Head Pro and a very large black man who turned out to be Neal Anderson! I was a HUGE Bears fan growing up and man did I like Neal! I used to love him on Techmo Bowl!

Anyway, we played the last couple holes with them and come to find out Neal is playing the Celebrity golf tour full time. So a side bet develops, and I am to meet him the next day to play for $100 which is like 1,000,000 back then! But I saw him play and was pretty sure I could take him. To my delight, Neal didnt want any strokes!!

First hole, water in play..I drive it right to the edge of the lake, and there is a fawking gator about 4 ft from my ball!!! Now I cant make this up gentleman and it can be confirmed by Rolltide, anyway Neal wont give me a drop! I stone cold top it into the lake, TWICE, before this f ucking gator slithers away. Well I make a 9 on the first hole! #2, snap hook it into another lake and make 7. Im +7 after 2 and 7 back!

Well, long story (somewhat) short, I make an unreal comeback, play 5 under from there, and even going to #18, after I bomb one down the tube,(super tight hole), Neal puts his driver up (that he has been smoking all day) pulls out a 2 iron and snap hooks it OB. Game, set, match!

Being the class guy he is, Neal paid me $250 when he only owed me $100, AND he went in to the pro shop, told the pro ANYTHING we want is on him the rest of the week, and put Tide and myself up for the week in Gainesville. All he wanted was a personal lesson, which I gave him (probably ruined him, lol), and we played again 2 days later (for fun).

Thanks again Neal, had a blast!!

God damn I hate when people say that Barry Sanders was the greatest of all time. Not even close. He's a quitter. I don't care what he COULD have done. He never impressed me. At all. He was a mediocre running back, that rushed about 40 times a game. With all those attempts, I could have had those stats. :scared
