Mavs had a bad run while Dirk was out. With is return, the team is playing better. One big conclusion, Dirk it's starting to seem like LeBron at Cleveland in the last seasons. Without him, the team showed big problems on offense and defense. So, even thinking that the name Mavericks is huge, and playing in Dallas is nothing easy, why take the Clippers?!
Clippers are 3-2 in their last 5 road games. 3-13 in the season. They are showing lately a great game, and they are one of the hottest teams in the league. Grabbing a team like Dallas isn't really hard. They have the power at the arc, Kidd is showing his age, while Gordon and Davis are showing their value. Griffin is one of the top players at this point, and the key for this game.
Dirk will have no easy work, and will have to show his best game if we want to be the man in the paint. At this point, the Mavs are not a confident team. I believe that they will fight as they can, but at the end, it will not be enough. I predict -4 for Clippers and around 200 points.
Charlotte Bobcats @ Sacramento Kings: Sacramento Kings -1 -105 (1.95) 5Dimes (-6)
Jackson and Wallace are playing less than expected, after the playoffs last season. Although some improvements, they only snapped 5 road games for their side in 19.
The Kings are also improving, and are 3-2 in their last 5 home games. They lost by 6 against the powerful front court Atlanta, and against the Blazers (OT). But they are confident, as they went yesterday to Portland and just kicked the Blazers ass.
Although a game yesterday, only Evans and Udrih logged more than 35 minutes, but particularly to Evans, that's a good thing, as this young player needs confidence after bad games due to an injury.
So, I think the momentum is in Kings side. They have improved a lot, winning their games or lost by few (or even OT) their last games. Their confidence raised, and their offense is a lot better. The Bobcats despite some improvements, particularly in their defense, it will not be able to hold a confident and happy Kings.
Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Lakers: Los Angeles Lakers -8 -108 (1.93) 5Dimes (-14)
The Lakers are rested thanks to 3 days off and they can play this game without any problems, being able to give everything, since they'll have another 3 days rest. Besides, they'll have a nice streak of home games in the near future, so we can expect a lot of commitment from them.
The Jazz will have to play tomorrow against the Spurs... So, they are in a very bad situation, because if they want to win tomorrow, they cannot commit everything tonight against the Lakers, otherwise they might burn out and get ass-kicked by San Antonio tomorrow.
Good Luck!
