I am finally red hot, so I feel confident enough to post my picks. I had a rough time of it for about 2 weeks, so I havent posted in awhile, but I am feelin good.
All of the stats point to the Colts tonight. I just cannot justify giving 4.5 (which is an extremely important number) to a team that has only lost once, and I dont care if they havent played anyone. The Steelers have played quality teams, and all they did was get blown out of the stadium. The Saints game was a blow out too, dont let the score fool you. The Steelers have done just about everything wrong this year except for last week. And the BUNGLES make everyone look good, so that is irrevalent.
The Steelers are not running the ball with authority and their quarterback is mistake prone. Hines Ward is a quality receiver, but Burress is the second coming of Randy Moss, a big quitter with a bad attitude.
The Colts on the other hand have a winner with Peyton Manning and a coach that has taught this team just enough on defense to give the high powered offense a chance to win games. Also the Colts special teams are far superior to the Steelers.
I give a huge advantage to the Colts in about all facets of the game. I will take the 4.5 to the bank!!!!!!!!!!!!
COLTS +4.5
small play on the over 46. (reasoning, since I believe that the Colts will have their way with the Pittsburgh defense, they will likely put up close to 30 points. That means the Steelers only have to put up 17 to cover this. The Colts defense is certainly susceptable to that amount. And the Colts are still underdogs in this game, and are at Pittsburgh, so this will NOT be a blow out. Iam not guaranteeing a Colts victory outright either, but the points are exactly what i was hoping for when this line came out.
Final score
Colts 28
Steelers 27
