Sportsnet.ca is reporting that Tony Amonte has been traded to Philadelphia. The full details of the deal have not been announced.

might help a little but they needed to get Burke IMO- Checkmanek is not the answer:nono: nor is Esche:nono:
watching local philly sports show now, will update, no word yet.
Checkmanek is fine, flyers need another defensemen and to put some pucks in the net. flyers heavy under all year.
last year it was the players not understanding checkmanek, now he is standing on his head in the crease, and cant get his teammates to score.
that TO in OT the other nite by Rico was a :nutkick

The Phoenix Coyotes will receive Philadelphia Phantoms' forward Guillaume Lefebvre, Atlanta's third-round pick this year (previously acquired) and Philadelphia's second-round pick in 2004.
Philly is not done yet. Getting Lapointed from NYI helps them nicely on a third line area. Amonte gives them the added scoring they might lose with Gagne gone, now if they can get LeClair back shortly the Flyers are setting themselves up nicely. Just my 2 cents.

Aces- Check is not a bad goalie but not a proven playoff winner and not in the same league as some of the others- Heck Burke really has not been any better in the playoffs in his career, so maybe that is not the answer- I agree they could use another D- but doesnt everyone:shrug:

I'm not so sure its worth a shot. When you have so much talent on one team, unless there is good chemistry, sometimes teams like this struggle to find leadership.

flyers goaltending is fine IMO
