Oh but Kneifl, they will talk about the injuries and that is why GB lost, meanwhile, Dallas #2 (or 1 1/2) receiver, Terry Glenn has not played all year.

But no one acknowledges that because the Cowboys are refusing to bring it up. Woodson has not been all pro caliber for a few years. Hell Al Harris is much better IMO

You guys and all this Dallas hater crap.

Tony Romo is a good quarterback playing well on a talented team. thats it. He is not a hall of fame quarterback at this point and there are no assurances that he ever will be.
I live in the are and I have said it before and will say it again, the arrogance of Cowboy fans when they are winning and ignorance when they are losing is what drives all other people to hate them. The truth is. Romo has No Rings at all to his name and has no call to be compared to any Champion quarterback. At this point he isn't even better than Trent Dilfer. The OBJECT of the game is to win a championship. He has never won at this game, ever. By that measure he is a complete failure but I am sure there are plenty of losers that looked good doing it. Fran Tarkenton, Dan Marino, Randall Cunningham, Ron Jaworski, and the list goes on and on. I remember when Jim Harbaugh was being called captain comeback for a couple of years now and he turned out to be a good Head Coach and a pedestrian quarterback. He never won it either. Tony isn't even as good as any of them at this point, unless of course you consider the emotions of a Homer.

Very well said FDC! You couldn't be more correct about why people hate the Cowboys.

I usually agree w. a lot that you post, but you couldnt be more wrong here.

The Steelers are not better than Dallas, are you really impressed by losses to teams like Zona & NYJ, or is it those 3 pt win over Miami. Dallas beat the NYJ 34-3 could have been 50-3. Crushed the Phins too.

nor is Jax & to say Cleveland and one of the worst D's in all of football is joke.

If you are going to hold the 3 point win over the Phins against the Steelers then I hope you listened to the game on the radio, because anyone with two eyes and an IQ over 35 could see that field conditions would have given Dusquene University a chance against the Steelers that night.

So do you think if NE played Miami that night it would have been a 3 pt game?

What excuse do you have for losses to Zona, Denver & I really cant wait to here one for the NYJ game...was it an off day in the zodiac for the Steelers??

It's pro football - teams get beat. There's a reason why betting road teams in the pros is playing with fire.

I could care less about the Steelers and never said they were better than your beloved Cowboys. Just stating a fact, and yes if NE played in those conditions they might have even gotten beat, the field had no speed and was essentionally a slip and slide.

You're probably the same type of person that would say Roger Federer sucks because when he wins on clay it's not as dominant as when he wins on grass.

Tony played very well last night, I continued to see his progression, reminds me very much of Brady when he got his start with Bledsoe s injury. Strange how Bledsoe demise attributed to both quarterbacks getting their start. Romo should have had 5 touchdown passes except for the bobble by Owens. I'm still not sure how people compare Romo with Brady, but Romo surely is progressing nicely.

The thing I mentioned about Brady, he has won 3 Super Bowls with terrible terrible skill players around him, as I previously mentioned other teams (Washington TN Seattle etc.) were eager to grab these players during free agency, and other than branch, I don't believe any have scored a touchdown. (Givens, David Patton, Antoine Smith, etc.) we even see that Brady made Charlie Weiss look good. That may have been his most difficult task:shrug:

Wow - Skipper - this is so wrong.

Terry Glenn is not that good - I would take Crayton over him - the injury is a blessing in disguise...

Missing a player all year is much better than losing them now - Dallas has had all year to groom Crayton to be a threat - oh yea, he had 2 TD's last night. It would be different if Glenn had been starting all year and sat out for the 1st time last night. The Pack was missing 2 of their key defensive starters - Woodson is a key for that defensive backfield - having a solid #2 corner changes all their schemes. The Pack do not have a good backup - which is why Woodson's replacement was pulled in the 2nd quarter last night.

Let's face it - The Cowboys have a good team, and they should have won the game last night. Does that make them better than GB? MAYBE.

Home field in a big game is a HUGE advantage. Not having your starting QB for 2.5 quarters is a huge disadvantage. Missing 2 key defensive players for the 1st time is a huge disadvantage.

Packers fans are not disheartened - if the situation was reversed, and all those bad things happened to the Cowboys, and the game in GB, the Packers would have crushed them.

But, as they say, any given Sunday.

It would be interesting to see both of these teams at full strength on a neutral field. That would be a good game.

The odds were stacked against the Pack - I wouldn't run off to the conclusion that Dallas is better. They may be, and may not be.

I know one thing - if Dallas lost Romo for 2.5 quarters last night, they would have had no chance to win.

Skewed towards your team & that is fine that is being a fan.

GB was already down 27-10 before Rodgers played a down. Favre going down had nothing to do w/ your D getting shredded.

Dallas let up @ that point & that is flaw in them. Way too early to do so & its not like they had 44 on the board. The D was just giving up the underneath stuff. Rodgers didnt hit one pass down the field until under 2 mins in the game. Dink, Dunk & run once in a while.

That said they still put up 37 & should have been 48. The TO bobble TD & at the end if they wanted a TD more than eating clock they would have gotten a TD.

To minimize the Terry Glenn injury is a joke too. He is better than Crayton. Not only that, it would make our 3rd & 4th WRs that much better. Crayton is meant to be a 3.

Dallas still has Newman, Henry @ less than 100%. They lost their starting NT on opening night. Crayton has been hurt, he did miss last Thursday game vs NYJ.

GB is a very good team. Dallas is just a better team right now.

there is no denying that dallas has a very potent offense with a great wide receiver, great tight end, & so far a very good qb. but i think the big thing about their offense is their aggressive play calling by the offensive coordinator.

but the reason why i think pitt. is better than dallas is because of defense. i am not sold on the dallas defense & don't think it is championship caliber.but that doesn't mean they won't win the title.....the nfl is very mediocre & anything can happen.

the above is just my opinion & take it fwiw...& it doesn't mean that i hate the cowboys.

Fair enough. You did forget Dallas has a great O-line as well.

Dallas has not allowed a 100 yard rusher this year.

The only real weakness is the secondary. Newman is great...the rest you can expose.

Highly doubt it. First off he lacks the mobility of Romo.

Romo is on pace for 4250 yards & 41 TDs, I will take that over 4300 & 24 TDs.

Its ok, your opinion is your opinion. I just know now to ignore your opinion on the topic of NFL Qbs. :mj07:

Hmmm.....Romo the 3rd best QB in the NFL. I still say no, how about you 3 seconds???

How did Bulger look today? How bout Palmer yesterday?

Hey maybe you would take Cleo Lemon over Romo too...:142smilie

Is that who that smokin' blonde was? I told the guy sitting next to me at the bar, that Romo's girlfriend might be the hottest woman I've ever seen. I think I just moved Romo over Bulger based on her alone, not to mention Bulger laying an egg today when I backed the Rams.

In case you are wondering, I am known as pop-culture illiterate.

Absolutely not. In fact, I almost didn't bump the thread because it was a pain to find.

BTW, I'm simply doing a little ball-busting about Romo. No offense is intended.

Yep. Romo flat out sucks when he brings his bitches to the game.

Underwood to the Saints game last year & now Simpson to the Iggles this year.

Keep the women at home Tony!!
