Seton Hall - over Rutgers ****
NJ's biggest rivalry game.Bragging rights, recruiting, and worst criminal alumni .Everyone knows Tony Soprano a graduate of Rutgers. But how many of you know Seton Halls famos graduate,Dennis Kozlowski.....Had a feeling very few know.He is the CEO of Tyco that stole millions and millions. In 1997 he built the Halls Academic Center on campus. But after getting busted he had his named removed from the building. Well thought I would give you all a history lesson...

Like Hall today.RU beat Hall by 4 at the RAC back in early Jan.A few weeks ago Hall fans are asking for Orr's head. Now they knock off NC St,Cuse are around 37 or 38 in RPI and have won 4 str.RU is coming off a "heartbreaker" at the Cuse.Roberts shoots a 3 at the buzzer from the top of the key to win. It's Roberts 1st 3 attempt of the yr.Devasting blow...and I think it will have some lingering effects today.RU is in trouble.A loss today puts them 3 games below .500 and maybe out of the BE tourney.
Douby has been on fire and RU's only real scoring threat.Farmer,Webb,Inman are too inconsistent.Joynes there center avg 3 pts a game and 5 bds.No inside attack.
Nutter and Copeland have really surprised everyone at gd.These guys made the Wolfpacks gds look so bad.Whitney inside is a force and had 28 pts in there 1st game. But Orr's best move was putting in 6'10 Billmeir as a starter. They have won 4 of last 5 with him.His nickname is "banger" and thats just what he is.Has no fluid moves but is a presence.Last 2 games he had 12 and 9 pts with 6 or 7 bds.He makes teams adjust inside.Lets Whitney come outside more.Prov and NC St had matchup problems.
Hall is on a roll.Big crowd expected at Meadowlands.Hall fans are excited for the 1st time in yrs.
RU has matchup problems.Esp with Whitney inside.Hall gets its revenge here and wins this by 6-10 pts.Douby will knock a few down to keep it close.

MAAC conf..nobody can figure out this conf.Watched Peters-Siena last nite.Peter is on a roll.Iona got breathing room when NU who's missing Fisher upsets the Jaspers.Loy Md has hit a wall.Cansius's best player Downey had 2 pts the other nite. He's been missing all yr yet the Griffs are 7-2 ats away.Manhattan losses CJ,Austin steps in for 2 games and does nothing in 3rd game.Marist on a streak then loses to Peter on an out of bounds play with 1 second on the clock.Everyone knows Clark is going to get it and what does Marist do..they let him have it 4 feet from the outbounds and he banks it in.Fairfield who has no inside post players and can't play defense is 1-6 ats at home and 6-2 ats away.Rider and Siena are the Jeckel and Hyde teams. And the MAAC has Collins,Clark and Burtt who are in the top 6 or 7th in the nation scoring.Great defense..

So here goes..
Rider over Cansius ** Thompson and Muniz at home give broncos win.Plus Cansius still has whiplash from the Iona game friday nite.

Iona - over Marist *
I told everyone on friday that after Peter came to Iona and blew them away Iona will wake up.When Manhattan did it Iona won 7 in a row.Well Foxes have been in Poughkeepsie 6 of last 7 games.Even though it's only a hour drive Iona is still upset.Foxes have Jordan who is No 2 in the nation in assits. Also Whittington one of the best 3 pt shooters in the nation hits them away from home better then home.Small play..

Niagara plus over Fairfield *
Purple fooled everyone with big win w/o Fisher.Stags have no defense,no post player. But they can score.Purple leaves the lower NY state with 2 wins.

Loy Md plus over Mahattan *
MC could blow the greyhounds right out of the Bronx. They cannot play any defense what so ever. But Collins can score.I'm closing my eyes in this one.
Went 12-6 yest on posted plays.Followed a few others and won more.Thanks...

Taking Seattle plus over Pitt *
Have as much faith in this game then Niagara-Fairfield

Lost the John Wooden article..It was on MSN's front page yest.It came from Fox sports.Yet I looked all over and still can't find it.Can some help me..It had 333,000 words.Long .. but great

Totals are the way to go in the MAAC right now guys. With all the high scoring games, the books have inflated these totals recently and that is presenting some nice opportunities to take the under. I'm taking two of them today - got Man/Loy under 153 and Fair/Niag under 147. Feel good about them both.

i read a great interview with him recently but cannot find it. he never recruited a player that wasn't from california. the others came to him. there is one interview by lou adler written in dec 2005 i found on google and another about what makes a good official and what influences them to make bad calls. nice pick on the hall

Box,

Looks like your post on the NFL board got buried. Wanted to say thanks for the Hasselbeck prop play. Played it only after you pointed it out!

Let's turn are full focus to the hard wood now and close out the season strong.

Poon..I loved that prop play.Hasselbacks 1st run over 3,5 yds.I think he got 7 or 8 on his run.I wonder if they had that for Ben.His 1st run was also for 4 or 6 yds..I think
That one prop play evened me out since I had Seattle and a few more prop plays.I did have Alexander for over 89 yds. I think he got 90..

Ben's was like 2.5. I looked at their "avg. rush" for the year and Hasselbeck's was like 3.4 and Ben 2.2. I figure each had their average weighted down by some kneel downs to end games.

I like Matt's prop better base on the fact, he was less likely to be used on a 1 yd. sneak to get a first down.

I was on the Steelers and the Under big, so it was a good day. If Seattle would have got one of the two missed FG's, I would have hit a big middle. Oh well, can't complain on being up for the day.
