ND will have great chance at playoff

Ohio st and bams just reload every year

Mich needs a big time qb to step up but Harbaugh is genius

Love Tennessee qb/rb combo but sec east should be somewhat better and they seem to lose weird games

For me Clemson has to be the favorite ....they will be same type team but more experience and more motivation to get back

Cannot wait

#3 ND VS #2 BAMA
#1 CLEMSON VS #4OHIO ST

THAT'S MY GUESS HAHA ONLY A YEAR AWAY

Ohio St losing so much, gonna be tough. They're literally losing all of their best players, minus Barrett.

DE Bosa
RB Elliot
LT Decker
LB Lee
SAF Powell
SAF Bell
CB Apple
WR Marshall
WR Thomas

I mean that is pretty amazing. I think it's safe to say at least 1/2 of those guys are likely 1st round picks.

My buddy is on OSU staff...

He tells me they won't skip a beat....said there is so much talent in Columbus it's insane.....and considering mich and mich st are the only games they need to circle, you gotta love their chances of 11-0 as much as anyone's.....the most important thing between a team and their ticket to the dance isn't the talent level on their roster....it's the talent level on their opponents roster.....and when you consider talent in the big 10 outside of Ohio st, the conference just isn't elite at this point ...at least more then 2-3 teams any given year...so even with some new faces, Ohio st won't be over matched in any game they play...in the SEC I'd worry about the youth and losing starters, but not with ohio st...at least not while they are in the conference that is considered home to the nittany lions, hoosiers, golden gophers, scarlet knights, and the huskers of corn.... plus their backups would start for 90% of the nation's teams when considering Ohio state's roster...the past 4 years with Meyers doing the shopping, the buckeyes have gotten as many solid athletes as any team in the country

Next, Barrett is a proven winner and leader....has like 14-2 record as starter in college....only 1 big 10 loss to mich st...

Lastly, Urban Meyer will out coach anyone....my buddy was just home 2 weeks ago....over a couple beers he told me urban is a strange bird, but as far as coaching, there is no one better to be around

---Schedule/conference/recruting/barrett/Meyer---

in no particular order, those 5 things have me believing that if you want to consider wagering on a team prior to the season starting, and your plan is to choose that team based off their chances of winning a championship , you have to look for the programs that you believe have the best chance of making at minimum a trip to the final four- try and think who gives you the easiest journey to the playoff where you can atleast put yourself in a positiin to hedge, and possibly hedge multiple times... the safest team and route to the playoffs just may be Ohio state

Clemson should be a good bet as well, for mostly the same reasons......well except we need to substitute urban Meyer to sweeney, otherwise you have two serious contenders with similar qualities and good coaches

May as well pick the teams with loaded talent

Tennessee gets Alabama and Florida at home. If they get by those 2 and Georgia and Texas A&M on the road they could run the table. Schedule works out good for them but we know it's almost impossible to go undefeated. But if they get by Alabama it could happen.

Oklahoma at +1400 looks inviting. Not many underclassmen declared if at all thus far for them and have QB return and two to RBs, WRs, most of "D". Lose backup, once starter to transfer who'll have to sit out in Knight.

Notre Dame will have Zaire and Kizer back at QB, good battle, along with top recruiting classes last 3 years, lots of depth.

Clemson will have Watson back in a weak conference imho and lots of depth returning and good recruiting classes last 2 years with 2016 class going to be a strong one as well.

LSU with top RB back in Fournette and coaching staff changes could help LSU, but can they get over the hump vs Alabama?

Florida will be much improved in 2nd year behind McElwain.

UCLA with 2nd year QB back with decent recruiting classes last 3 years should help them in weaker PAC12 for 2016.

While I agree with everything you are saying about Ohio State, they also have to go to Oklahoma this year.
Although if Oklahoma is their only loss, I think they definitely make the playoffs.

I think I'm picking my 4 teams that I think will make the final 4 and put a play in on each.

Clemson is for sure one. I think they'll be even better this year because of who they have back but also because of the classes they've had the last 2 years. It's as good as anyone and I think they have the most important player in Watson. First game of the season at Auburn is a tough venue to start out in but I think they're good on that one. Heck they could probably lose that one and still have a shot.

The winner of Stanford and ND gets a pick and since it's at ND I have to lean that way but don't feel good about it.

I think Ohio State is another one but IMO they will have the toughest schedule overall if Okie is as good as I think they'll be. But again, that might be a game they can lose and still get it in.

Oklahoma is my last pick. They get Baylor and Okie State at home. TCU is on the road but I'm not sold that the Aggie transfer will be good so I think they win there. I'm a homer but a hiccup could happen in Lubbock. Tech should be solid and they play well at home.

I think the SEC beats the hell out of each other and everyone has at least 2 losses. I would pick LSU but their QB is too streaky and misses too many easy passes.

Really like Clemson to win it, but with short odds futures you're better off doing some type of game by game betting or waiting for better price during season......Ohio State is only one I would bet for value's sake. Oregon @ 20-1 is laughable, their window is done for a long time.

Louisville should be 500-1.....

Ohio St. is talented but this might be a little over the top...

Yes that's a reach but almost every team in every conference would take a handful of their guys....the other elite schools recruit top guys but every mid level conference which is like 10 conferences, the big 10, ACC, BIG EAST, and a lot of the PAC 10 and big 12 teams , I'm sure all would start a good amount of their backups....top talent is all through columbus.....Bama prolly only other team that can match Ohio states depth....

I'm a psu grad/fan and I'd take all of them haha

If Dobbs stays healthy they are a minimum 9 win team. Their toughest games will be Alabama and Florida at home, Georgia and Texas A&M on the road. They will most likely win at least 2 of the 4 and probably 3; I would say there is an outside chance they could sweep although just about everybody or anybody will lay at least one egg during a year. I doubt Virginia Tech will be a problem; it's played in Bristol although I don't think it will make any difference where it's played.

They could have very easily beaten Oklahoma (lost in overtime after a good lead), had a huge meltdown at Florida (definitely should have won that game), Alabama had to score in the last 2 minutes to beat them (game was at Alabama). Only legit loss, although I didn't see the game, was to a good Arkansas team. Just ask Northwestern or Iowa about them (their last 2 bowl games).

I made a comment earlier in this thread but forgot to mention Clemson and Alabama. I knew Alabama was good but I had no idea Clemson was as good as they were. Watson and Dobbs are a lot a like but Watson is probably the better passer while Dobbs might be the better runner. Either one is a nightmare to defend and they both have a good supporting cast, on both sides of the ball.

Ohio st Clemson and Bama

The national title will be hoisted by one of those 3....mark my words...unless I'm wrong, then just forget about this thread

There just are not many other programs that have close to the depth and talent of those 3 programs....at least currently...they need to enjoy the roster depth and dominance, because as always it will even itself out....but for now, those are the 3 elites.....

Notre Dame is close however....Kelly can recruit with the best of em.....and Zaire is freakishly gifted....just needs to learn to put it all together...that's assuming that he's the guy next year at the helm

Wish it was hear already.
