all those movies are entirely too recent works for them to be best of all time that you'll catch alotta slack from the old fellers here, who'll be listing westerns and silent films before you know it.

...though admittedly, my 20 wouldnt have anything too old either, i imagine

I know you're not asking for my opinion but you're going to get it anyway...

1. Braveheart - Agree
2. Shawkshank Redemption - Agree
3. Kingpin - Somewhat agree
4. Good Will Hunting - Somewhat agree
5. The Game - Michael Douglas/Sean Penn - Disagree wholeheartedly. The deal with this movie is that it is all about the end. Like the Sixth Sense and Usual Suspects - the story relies heavily on the end and does not have much to it until the end.....these type of movies are the least owned on DVD.
6. Unforgiven - Clint Eastwood - Sort of agree. I think there are many better Eastwood movies.
7. Million Dollar Baby - Like this one.
8. Fast times at Ridgemont High - Agree in a way. This was a ground breaking movie.
9. Scent of a Woman - Agree
10. Casino - Very much agree.
11. Meet the Parents - Disagree.
12. Heat - Strongly agree.
13. Along Came Polly (Most underated movie of all time). Hmmmm.....not worthy of a top 20 though...
14. Napoleon Dynamite - I would rate this #21 - barely missing the top 20.
15. My Cousin Vinny - Nope.
16. American Beauty - Agree.
17. Swingers - Agree
18. The Fugitive - Harrison Ford - Agree but I don't know if it is worthy of a top 20.
19. The Firm - Tom Cruise/Gene Hackman - not worthy of a top 20.
20. Philadelphia - Tom Hanks - Disagree.

What about Godfather 1 and 2?

What about Goodfellas?

Pulp Fiction?

Se7en?

Aliens?

Departed?

L.A. Confidential?

I would put The Green Mile on my list as well. Scarface is in my top 20 and so is Miller's Crossing.

One of my favorite movies at the moment is - Clear and Present Danger.....I also love the movie "Cinderella Man" with Russell Crowe. In fact that movie might be in my top five........

Sorry man, seeing Napolean Dynamite and My Cousin Vinny in your top 15 kind of invalidates everything else.

Seeing Kingpin as #3 makes me think you were high when you wrote this.

My Cousin Vinny is not a movie that should be in anyones top 100. Now Kingpin - it is VERY funny but not sure it needs to be in anyones top 20.

big western fan....

imo butch cassidy was one of the most over-rated movies of all time imo....

never could get into the good, the bad & the ugly....so i don't think it rates up there....

pale rider is partially a remake of shane....& liked it but not enough to put it on any list....

loved the outlaw josy wales & read a while back that this is one of eastwood's favorite....

stagecoach is a great movie....

tombstone....like the movie very much & must have watched it the most of any other movie but doesn't rate on a list....

open range....one of my favorites for a few reasons, but mainly because i am a huge duvall fan....

shane....many people rate this the best western of all time....& although i liked the movie i don't rate it at the top....

the searchers....imo the best western ever made mainly because it was one of the first westerns that showed the hero with flaws (racist)....

high noon....could take or leave this movie....

........

whoa...that`s an impressive 6 right there....

i`ll throw a few eclectic picks in there...

the original british version of "get carter" with michael caine...

roman polanski`s "ninth gate"(his wife, emmanuelle seignier as the devil, was hotter than hell)..great plot..suspense..and black comedy..

hombre(jack bitching in 3..2..1)my favorite western..

no country for old men(just loved the anti-hero theme and ending...more realistic than the usual hollywood cookie cutter crap)...

honorable mention:...3 days of the condor..

way under the radar comedy that nobody`s ever heard of..."love stinks" with french stewart and brigitte wilson.....

watch it with your g.f. or wife...

i laughed so hard i cried...

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Silence of the Lambs

Sorry, but Jaws and Rocky need to be on the list too.

Raging Bull

I think Deliverence needs to be on the list too.

Godfather I and II and Goodfellas are definitely my top 3.
