Dr....Good Stuff !!!!

1st 2 clips of College Street at Clinton, this is where I was born and still live and will be here till I die. I wouldn't trade this neighbourhood for anything. I'm at those corners everyday and was right there at the time of these clips. Was across the street right where the white building is in the right of the picture...Gian Carlo's. Right where the action is being filmed near Bar Dip is the street I was born on..... As you know it's going to be crazy Sunday. It would have been really something had Portugal won. Enjoy Sunday as I know you will...... :toast:

Adding.....
My daughter just noticed my buddy at the end of the 3rd clip on St.Clair.....he's a real partier and a REAL CHARACTER.

Jake,

did you hear about the house on ossington and college area that was listed for $775,000 and sold for $979,000. Built in 1910, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 3,000 sq feet. I was shocked. I guess someone loved being in that area and style of house, 3 families in a bidding war.

Dr,

haven't heard of that one in particular but there have been a few bidding wars in the past. One of my brothers was in one a few years back and he lost out. He was up on Nairn and wanted to get back in the area where we are now. He ended up in the area eventually.....just houses away from College. He has some regrets as the noise from the bars/cafes can be heard every night during the nice weather. Speaking of noise right now the cars are on the track practicing (sounds like a race though) for the Molson Indy which is held this weekend. You'd think they were in my yard. It's going to be another busy weekend around here and also up on St.Clair. St.Clair is closing down tonight for the Italian festival....

Take care and enjoy yourself....later

DOC,

Also saw a clip of a celebration in Vancouver on Commercial Drive which is the Italian "district" in Vancouver. I'm certain there are celelbrations in Edmonton as well which has a decent sized Italian popiulation.

Locally, being in Windsor, Ontario (pop. 215,000), the celebration is not the scale of these larger cities, however VIA ITALIA (a.k.a Erie St.) has been closed down following every victory in the World Cup. I went following the Germany victory and it was pretty crazy. Approx. 30,000 Windsorites are of Italian descent. Throw in other nations which seem to support Italy (Lebanese, Assyrian, etc.) and there is a big fan base for the Italian on the World Cup. I have heard they are closing down the street (8 blocks) on Sunday and also heard that there will be big video screens outside setup for people to watch.

SPITS
