OK, now that I have you in here :) I am too a Leafs fan. Not a die hard nut but living in Toronto and loving hockey makes it hard not to like the leafs. One thing that I would like to pass on, which you all probably know.. DONT BET ON YOUR HOME TEAM!!! Especially if they look like the Leafs do. They have problems on the ice. We Torontians listen to too much AM590, AM640 which corrupts our minds! I took the Leafs for 2 units vs the Habs and they reminded me not to take them again.. They are truly playing very poorly and I dont see much improvement till they do something on their defense and that would be to sign some star from another team and not go look at the farm for some 'propect' and give him a chance. Even still, lets HOPE that injuries dont get these old fogies hurt for long strings of games..

Boys, the leafs will make everyone lose money. The lose against poor teams and win against better teams. This year I think is going to be different, they will lose often to bad and good teams!.. Yes, they probably will make the playoffs because the east is weak but still, dont put money on bad teams and avoid the leafs.

To my friends south of the border, stay away from the leafs!! Do yourself a favour and watch them play They take penalities like mad (good and bad ref calls). They will repeat their record of most penalities this year IMO. They have no defensive power, they're powerplay is nothing and they are old. The Leafs will go how Belfour goes.... I'd hate to say this with so many Toronto fans here but I think the best thing for the leafs this year is NOT to make the playoffs so management and the people with the $$ will spend it wiser instead of getting over the hill players to make it LOOK like they are spending money..

Sorry, had to get this off my chest. I read too many leafs picks the last 2 games and I was one of them.. Stay away, its better not to bet than to lose... :confused: Just looking out for you guys :)..

BTW, you guys are great in here. The hockey area of Madjacks has a lot of winners and good team players.. keep up the good work, I'm tailiing you guys :) except on Leafs & Habs Picks..

np chucky ... we have been watching them play like this for 20 years or more. i don't think any of us saw anything happen this summer that would make us think things would be different this year.

That's true, i have been living in toronto most of my life, been a fan of the leafs since i was 6, things will get better though when mcabe comes back.

well.....good points..but totally disagree with your Fan 590 point. That station bashes the Leafs constantly (some justified). And as for your point about spending money.......Leafs could finish dead last would make no difference..........that organization rolls in the dough, and with the teachers pension in control they will never ever spend the money...it's just that simple. You can thank Harold Ballard for putting the Leafs in this position.......

and like most Leaf fans they are hard as hell on the team, if ya listen to talk radio you'd think they'll win one game all year......this team isn't as bad as people here think they are....I have to laugh at most Leaf fans, always jumping on and off of the bandwagon.........now they suck, then they'll ok, then they suck, then this then that........70% of the "fans" in this town bash the crap out of the Leafs........it's just the way it's always been.......just too bad the organization is such a joke (not the players) because they are not as bad as many think....with two or three additions this team could win the cup.........I was at the game last night and yes there are glaring weaknesses on this team........but man oh man they do got some dam dgood players on this team, and IF they ever came together...look out :eek:

But until the "real fans" get in charge of this team...nothing will get done.......the teachers fund is in control and that is wear all the problems lie........it's just that simple........winning and losing means nothing to them.they could care less..........$$$ is not a problem with the Leafs and it never will..........that organization is loaded........were talking heaps of cash.......ya think they give a flying crap if the team wins or not...they could care less :nono: Sure 99% of fans/players/coaches want them to win........but with that 1% being the ones in charge........that's all that matters..and that sucks :cursin:

I agree that the organization stinks because they control the funds and its a business to them as are all teams. They leafs will sell out all the time, even if they become the worse in the league.

With 2-3 players, they will win the cup?? This I have to disagree with, sure, if you got Blake, Kariya and Hatcher, then ok, maybe.. but really, the leafs are 2-3 injuries from being TKO'd.

I hope the Leafs do well, but the only reason for my post was to say "DON'T BET ON THE LEAFS'.. ...

GO LEAFS GO.. TO the CUP AND BEYOND... I just hope my future kids get to see the leafs win a cup.. thats all, cause I know I wont.
