totals still doing ok, up 11 of last 12 days, 4-1-1 sunday and monday posted in the forum, so i'll toss out a little offering for tonight>

pit/cin under 9u: start with the premise that the pirates are 7-20 vs rt handed starters on the road, averaging 3.3 rpg, and reds are 5-19 vs rt had starters at home, averaging 3.6 rpg. this game matches two fairly decent young righties into those trends.

ritchie, who had horrible start because of no run support, now has found his form. has a nifty 1.64 era over his L3 along with an astouding mba of 6.95. check it again, that's allowing 7 baserunners per 9 innings pitched. nice 3.53 road era and 3.84 lifetime era in 9 games vs cincy (2-6-1 under). given up 5 earned runs in last four starts (30 innings!)

dessens respectable 4.04 home era, but more importantly, because of no run support, games have gone 1-6 under at home. also under 2-7-1 L10 and 11 of 15 this year.

home plate ump fletcher 7-6 o/u this year with an inflated rpg of 11.87, mainly because of a few high scoring games (ie 27 runs in sd/mon game on 5/19. he's 1-2 under with pitt, 0-3 under with cincy, 0-0 with ritchie and 0-1 with dessens. fairly high so/w ratio of 2.17, calling 63.2% strikes. he'll do.

no wind, but 60% chance of rain.

nyy/bal over 9-o (play to 10): see writeup in jack's thread.

sea/tex over 10-o: i guess the number's this low b/c of sele - sure as hell ain't b/c of oliver. in comparison, tomorrow's game between these two teams matching moyer and bell has the early total at 11-. but sele not really in form to force the number down. era 6.75 L3 with a fat 18.56 mba (or 2.06 whip - whatever). also coming off 120 pitch game in 6 2/3 innings @ oakland 5 days ago.

oliver is - well - he's oliver. 5.79 home era, 7.50 era at night. you get the picture.

home plate ump demuth only 8-8 o/u under this year but has a nice hitter-friendly so/w ratio of 1.45. wind no real factor.

all plays as usual for one unit. good luck to all
